flyover recon

And I say early (even though I often bounce awake way earlier than this) because this didn't happen until 11:35 last night. It was ok though, couple friends of mine were telling me about the Warcraft movie. I doubt I get to see it until it comes to PPV on Dish.

I nearly didn't watch Belmont, but I'm glad I did. I loved this.

In MoCreatures news, I finally made it past 0,0, but I had to search everywhere for my pet amulet so I could do it on my flying horse because I epic failed a /back command, and it turns out I'm glad that happened. It started getting super laggy around -1000, and my home command didn't even pretend to engage, so I typed it again. #facepalm Never type a home command twice if you want to /back later. Jawn froze on my end, so I just turned him off, but turns out the server caught the commands just fine, and after it ran the home command, it turned my home command into /back when I set it again. You also wind up /back where you just teleported from, so basically home and back became the same coordinates.

So anyway, I'm real bad to stash stuff all over creation because I think I own the world, so after nearly an hour of searching every conceivable chest I could think of ever making (many of which I had to run on foot to, or even swim to), it finally dawned on me that I probably left it at the 3rd village I had fixed up last week, so I had to home to a weird bunker on a barren mountain and then climb, swim, and run through all kinds of mobs just getting back to the village.

So an hour later, amulet finally triumphantly in hand, I took off. Aaaaand first time I landed I had waited a tad too long after sundown and was immediately beset on horseback by a silver skeleton (they carry 2 swords), a snake, a witch (totally got poisoned), a zombie, and god knows what else but I did see those for sure, and I knew I was on a countdown and had to get off my horse. So through a melee of attack, I dismounted, the horse got pushed right off the little island (that's the last time I land on a tiny island in the middle of the ocean), and next thing you know I'm in the water drowning and trying to swim close enough to my horse to get him back into the amulet... I did it!!!!! And the second I did, I died.

I forget how much Kai paid for that horse and saddle, I think over $4000, and it is top priority whenever I carry that amulet around, and why it wound up in a chest in a tiny lost village, so I wouldn't lose my cool flying horse in the event of sudden violent death, or even staggering stupid death. Anyway, I backed immediately not expecting to be able to get anything back, but I guess most of my stuff dropped (more like exploded) near enough to the shoreline that I wound up finding all of it either floating right at the edges of the island or scattered just a little deeper, and thank goodness the amulet was among them. I think the only thing I lost was my helmet.

That story was so you'll further appreciate the flyover pix I got after all that happened. I figured most of the cool construction would be closer to 0,0 (which is technically near world spawn point), and turns out it was pretty awesome to fly over, so I'm glad I wasn't on foot. Remember, this is in multiplayer where admins rotate and team people up for games and players build towns and once in awhile a youtuber will stream, and some of these streaming players are known around the world, so it's nothing to be jealous of to see this kind of stuff. This is just the tip of the iceberg, too, almost felt like everything in from -3000 on down was more metropolitan, even in the rugged areas. That's probably why no one ever bugs my stuff way out in the -8000s...

One note as we browse through- Am I the only one who lights up rooftops and upper surfaces so mobs won't spawn on them? Just a thought. I mean, I've had mobs just drop on my head off buildings, maybe other people don't figure that out.

A room truly up in the clouds. I'm laughing at all the work that went into the 'supports'. I've run across platforms just hanging in midair because supports aren't actually necessary once you hang one block in the air, the rest just stays up. The supports make it look more breathtaking, though, you get a better idea for the kind of height you're looking at.

So I got a yes on some of the degeneration thing we were watching earlier this year, but in a good way. If that makes any sense. The new stuff will be assessed again later. It was a good day to get out, at any rate. I made myself pay attention and soak in some autumn. It's going really slow this year, peak is lasting forever.

I would love doing this in a jigsaw puzzle.

Thanks to an incoming lurker from a referral link, I've discovered webmii.com (seriously, I don't go looking for this stuff, this one's apparently been around awhile). Spock is sort of impressed with how thoroughly they gathered my public info compared to other ranking sites I've seen.

This is actually the sort of thing I've been shooting for, in case the ridiculous amount of time and effort going into my fleet seems like a waste of time. I know this score doesn't look very high (for "Janika Banks"), but it's actually not bad out of millions (and more millions) of web profiles on the internet.

It also shows how crucial it is to find a stand out name on the webs because when I tried Pinky Guerrero, it totally smashed me and several other Pinkys together, abysmally lowering the klout score, among other things.

I know, silly time wasting stuff. Like I said, hipster coffee shops. I'm in one of my twisted funks where nothing looks right because I'm way too tired. BUT HEY, I was ready for early Halloween and it didn't happen, lol. At least I'm actually ready this year. I like to make goody sacks packed with treats.

I think I'm still sad from all that death stuff I finally dealt with, but it's hard to tell because I'm so good at not lingering on dwelling. Well, ok, I dwelt all spring and summer and partway into the fall (after 8 years of shutdown, part of my head points out), but I mean it was a more angsty kind of confusion because I had no idea that's really where it was headed. Now everything is just really quiet in my head.

I've rather carefully never wished for anything in my life, not really. I'm the sort of person who sees the futility in wishes and hopes, and if stuff doesn't happen, you either just make it happen if you really want it, or walk away and don't whine about it. Imagine spending a childhood like that. If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride, right? Adults actually said that to me. But something is sneaking up on me. No one sees the horses in my head.

I think I'm feeling a wish starting to form. I'm not really sure what it is yet, but I know it's there. If Pinky had one wish... I wonder what it would be. Or is. It's already there, lurking, not letting me see it yet.

Yesterday was pretty epic, wasn't it? Biggest news was American Pharoah taking the Triple Crown.

Plus we had Bunny from the break of dawn till nearly noon, so my day was pretty full.

It's been ages since I tweeted almost nonstop like that for nearly 12 hours. Remember when I used to tweet around the clock every single day? My phone croaking back into the Dark Ages finally broke me of that. Oh, well. And now my laptop is going geriatric. Average lifespan of a laptop is said to be 2-3 years, but this one is 5 now, and I'm pretty sure I'll still be using it in another 5, even if I get a new laptop later this year. I'm still using a 25 year old portable CD player.

I don't remember whether I shared that I discovered the Adult Wednesday Addams channel on youtube. At first I thought oh no, someone porned her up, but it's Grown Up Wednesday, and it's pretty cool. The vids keep getting removed while she lobbies for permission to use the character, but here are a handful of rescues from devoted fans who keep loyally reloading them.


AND, omg, there is an Allehandro Sherlock, erroneously misspelled as awkwardly as Pharoah. Too bad it was also awkwardly made and cut off halfway through the song, because the parts that did get done hint at some actual thoughtfulness and creativity. :edit: 6-8-15 For someone who didn't give a crap about that vid sitting around not getting views, it sure got taken down fast after someone actually linked it (moi). Well, guess who does vid rescues. I liked it. I hope one day it gets finished.

And that was the second time I had to reboot because opening youtube keeps knocking my Kaspersky off for some reason this last week, and since rebooting turns it back on, I'm not going to freak out and mess with settings. I'm sure someone out there is feverishly working on fixing something and then there'll be an automatic update of some kind.

I'll be so glad when everything is synced into one big universal thing and the interface probs go away. I know that's anti-capitalist of me to say, but I see no other way to stop this madness. I still envision a futuristic Star Trek type Federation, so I'm on board. (Gasps break out among some of my friends and family. I'm a sellout. Scifi has corrupted me.) Yes, I know it'll escalate, but I blame Admiral Marcus. Do you ever wonder if this is what it feels like working feverishly getting an update ready for laptop/internet interface problems?

K, I don't even know what to do with this. Not sure what bothers me more, that he's pink or that I found him in a 'pink goth' search. Someone spent quality time working on this one, which probably makes the rest of my day incredibly successful no matter how many times I fall on my face.

This, too, came up in the same 'pink goth' search, and I'm torn between being disturbed over these search parameters and wondering how far I live from Hayti and whether there is more cool weird stuff over there.

I find more pink and black in 'pink emo', and although I love the color smash, the whole vibe just isn't me, so moving on. This is the best I can get this morning on 'pink death horse' but the address it came from is so corrupted that I had to reconstruct the original site address, which I did, yay, so click for awesome wallpapers.
