I feel better, so much better

click for official Doc Brown Lego
I hope I'm not jinxing myself to say I'm loving these 'nightmares' that metoprolol is known for.

click for links to people freaking out about their nightmares
So last night Scott and I were checking out a new game on the internet and wound up with super stack overload from pausing while we went out to eat and then coming back to frozen screens. And then that turned into meeting Clara and thinking she never shuts up (well, in a good way, I suppose) and she showed me a note where The Doctor (Eleven) had written that he'd introduce to her to someone with the added "by the way, she LOVES to talk" notation, and when I ran into him later I was all Hey, is that my mom you wrote to Clara about and he smiled and put his finger up to his lips and said Shhh just in time as Clara walked up, so she got to go talk to my mom and they really hit it off. Then for some reason a bunch of super tornadoes got stuck by Kansas City and failed to do any damage because #fail, so me and a couple people went outside after dark ghost hunting, and alla sudden we ran into a lifesized Lego of Doc Brown turned into a Minecraft zombie with a Minecraft Lego villager zombie right behind him, and next thing you know Lisa Marie Bowman was narrating us through a Late Night Movie with more Minecraft Lego zombies spawning all around us and standing there menacingly at us, and then a big white cube appeared out in the field with 'Note to Pinky' on it. My last thought before waking up was How do I take a page off a minecraft cube to see what's written next?

If that's a nightmare, yes, please. I've been through several weeks now of the cutest nightmares I've ever had on my life. Just hope it doesn't backfire because I really don't need psychosis in my life. From Metoprolol-induced visual hallucinations: a case series - "For decades, beta-adrenergic blocking agents have been known to cause adverse CNS effects including psychiatric syndromes, bizarre and vivid dreams, sleep disturbances, delirium, psychosis and visual hallucinations"

I suppose I'd better let my psychologist know this is going on in case I get extra weird and wind up in a 72 hour observation thingy or something. So far it's just dreams though. I suppose last night's dream could have ranked nightmare level status if Doc McStuffins had shown up to turn Doc Brown back and save him from being a zombie, especially if Doc had joined Doc in song.

Fandom smashing. It's what I do. If I were anyone significant in merch I'd be creating so much smash merch that you'd be able to get Minecraft Lego Doc Brown zombie in a Funko. My motto would be We have a Funko for that.

Meanwhile, we're working on an Elsa-Rapunzel braid like super cool superfans DO. Ignore the equivalent of tiny tot cursing.

time to get my Pinkyween on

photo zombie.jpg Head cold from hell mini report: Larissa is right, this thing evolves. I reached the Dylan checkpoint of the sticks poking up my nose feeling and woke up with the nasty headache that suddenly hit several people and wiped them off the twitters last night. I feel like I'm back to square one on the superglue explosion in my head.

I scoped the national and state level trending health charts last night, nothing entero or adeno particularly spiking, only thing off the charts is rotavirus and it's unrelated. Saw odd random reports of Legionnaires, light influenza, and even one Ebola reported over that last week across the nation, but nothing indicating head cold from hell.

So this is all in our heads. Get it? All in our heads. Too early? *sips coffee*

By the way, never use ice cream when you run out of creamer. photo yuck.gif Just don't.

Anyway, so confirmation on "zombie virus" by a person with multiple degrees and certifications in several fields (scroll down to Larissa's staff bio), and we really are all infected now. I'd source the quote found in sploit's comments, but since it's in friends only on facebook, you'll just have to believe me. -ZOMBIE VIRUS- Embrace it, guys. Love your gunky headed infected selves. We are all worth something on this earth, even in pre-zombie outbreak.

See, that's really the virus making me type out all that stuff. I'm being held hostage in my braincase, my true feelings muffled, and omg don't take me back there again, nooooo

They're making me look at flowers. Click this if you'd like to look at them, too.

I watched a #SherlockedEvent event roll through the twitter feeds last night, didn't share much, so here, lemme make it up to you. There's a whole zombie Sherlock underground out there, if you're in the mood, and from there you can wander through a maze of vampire Sherlock, werewolf John, and Vamplock. You're welcome.

This is about the only go music I can handle this morning. Gotta zombie out my door pretty early this morning. Time to get my Pinkyween on.

the sponge thing

So the new moc is still months away...

I looked up the sponge thing and why this is taking so long. Before I say anything about how people shouldn't be announcing sweeping changes when they are seriously not that ready yet, I'm remembering that I announced a Mantrid post was on the way nearly a year ago and still have yet to publish it. Touche.

Turns out I do have the zombie virus, because strep and influenza swabs came up negative, and ears, throat, bloodwork, and x-ray are fantastic. Doc still wasn't happy with 102.8 fever, so I have a follow up with my regular dr on Friday. @bonenado seems to be sporting a much milder version without fever, so he sucks, lol. Actually, I'm glad he's not, this has been really sucktastic. I finally ate a little bit of real food last night. At any rate, fever hasn't come back and I'm mostly just really tired.

Plan assessing out of physical therapy is to take a month off while continuing home maintenance and then assess back in for more. Home maintenance includes what I've already learned about daily stretching, core strength, nerve glossing, and my usual workouts, with attention to good hydration, nutrition, and rest.

My brain is still under zombie virus attack, so I'm in robot mode and feeling very lectury, which means this is a great time to get back off here and go do useful things.  Here you go, still fresh and trending on youtube.

ciao, I got to mambo

My gut instinct is solidly sliced right down the middle. Stay out here, fold up shop, stay out here, fold up shop... Stupid instinct, so I bypassed that and asked my actual gut what to do, and it said, "Nachos!" and cheers went up across the land.

Then I discovered there's such a thing as pink tortilla chips

but pink dip turns out to be sour creamish stuff, usually with fruit, so NO on the pink cheese. After several pages of awesome nacho pix, though, I'm inspired to do much more with mine in future.

Sometimes being able to say you're having a really great week is all about walling off a zombie spawner room in glass, and then using coordinates to find where it lies beneath the village you're working on, and then creating a cool zombie fight arena. I got killed so many times so fast trying to accomplish this that I finally just let it go and grabbed all new tools and materials and snuck back in on a different side. (Zombies can pick up your tools, and they kept weaponizing every time I died until just showing up only took 2 seconds to get killed again.) I can't even imagine what the other players thought. They're chatting away about taming pets and building houses and going on adventures to find wyverns or figuring out how to set up larger more efficient farming, talking about pink dolphins and enchanted tools and someone locking a chest, and I'm interrupting chat with "YabloVH died" every 10 seconds over and over. I even made armor, what a waste. In the end, I wound up with a pretty awesome set up. OOOH, I should make a little pool of water on the side so they can all go stand in it and not burn up during the day. I bet I could get a hundred zombies spawned before it's all over.

This is after all the work I've done so far.

I've actually been doing really well getting my workouts back on track this week, in case you think I'm still blowing it, which is pretty huge after at least 6 weeks of workout fail. Also staying caught up with basic chores fairly easily, got my money and calendar syncs done without any problems, seem to be having an easier time remembering stuff and reading in general. Also, the TV thing during the day is definitely keeping me on a time awareness track. I decided to marathon the old Soap series, but I've only got the first 2 seasons out of 4. Until I get my hands on 3 & 4, I may never know what happened with Burt and the UFO. And I just got the last two for way cheaper than the first two I got in a Walmart bin. I love Amazon. Anyway, I've done ep 1 so far, great actor spotting kind of stuff. My fave is Richard Mulligan. There was a Soap Reunion last year, and yes, that site I just linked is for the unauthorized book about the making of the series, which you can get from Amazon. Not paid to link that. Just a fan.

"From its tumultuous beginnings in 1977 to its end by firing squad - on screen and off - Soap was as passionate and controversial as the times in which it was made. During its four-year run, it tackled sex, death, depression and infidelity, all with a wit and gentleness never before seen on American television. Throughout that time, a vocal minority hounded the sitcom and parent network ABC over its perceived irreverence toward the mores of a declining generation, even as the real world was convulsed by terrorism, energy crises, and fallout from the Vietnam conflict and governmental malfeasance. For the first time ever, Soap: The Unauthorized Inside Story of the Sitcom that Broke all the Rules takes you behind the scenes, from the producers' battles with network censors over an earlier series, to the creation of enduring story lines such as the death of Peter Campbell, and Burt's abduction by aliens. Based on interviews with nearly 30 members of the cast and crew, this book offers an extensive examination of each episode, and may finally reveal the societal forces that really led to the series' premature demise."

I was still in high school when it started, so of course I didn't get to watch it, just like I didn't get to watch Saturday Night Live. I caught just enough quick snatches to realize it was MY KIND OF SHOW, so years later I jumped on it when I saw it in a Walmart bin. If for no other reason, this series is a must if you are a Billy Crystal fan.

And he's the perfect send off today. Have a good one.

wandering around in hell, like you do

Finding out chickens go to hell. Not cool. At least they don't burn up.

I got lost for several hours in hell yesterday. I had to be transported back to the portal before I could run out of there. Don't worry, got a lot of work done while I was stuck in there.

I've decided not to tamper yet with Pinky font settings because my twitter does the same thing. Besides, I'm wading through several different projects that I need to stay focused on.

If you guys knew what was in that folder you'd gasp and feel shaky with me at the could have been. I would have cried. This folder is more irreplaceable than the 197 files I lost last fall.

I grabbed other stuff in between the manic cleaning out drawers thing and washing #allthethings and working on words thing. This morning has been all about prepping files for a special documentary later.

I can't tell you yet where this one was taken (HAD to get a selfie), but I had a thought- wouldn't it be cool if we could go into /gamemode 1 in real life and not have a problem with racism and orientation differences? We could all chill and take selfies without all that crap in the way. Anyway, it's a tossup between little nerdy guys and bad boyz (little nerdy bad boy combo is perfect, like @bonenado), but this hellboy is one of my favorites.

I seem to have a pet spider. Or maybe I am his pet. I was actually very surprised to see spiders and endermen (endermans?) show up there (spoilers), but I'm told it can just happen.

Yesterday I got a private lesson on redstone, capacitors, laying out and concealing power lines, and pistons while I was cooking supper. (lol, I'm so savvy. New Food Network challenge- cook real food while you're building cool stuff on minecraft.) Not sure when I'll get to my own devious experimentations, but I loved slamming through a live tutorial out on a real field trip. It was like being back in college.

Also watched Kai test out a couple new zombie traps. PETA would have fits if they knew. I got caught in this one later and couldn't get out at all, was awesome. Had to /gamemode 3 in the middle of 20 drowning zombies just to escape.

That poor villager. I almost felt bad for him. Every time I walked around and looked at him through the glass he looked so sad and pleaded with me to save his life while Kai tossed swords down to the zombies. That one sword looks like a chainsaw.

We need marshmallows. I'm surprised minecraft doesn't support wiener roasts.

Actually slept last night, yay! Woke up to views going off the hook again here, bots can't explain it all away. Closing my eyes. Stepping back. I've never been affected by my blog traffic before. I've had some private counseling on it this winter. Psyching up to stop cringing and just get the f#@k out there. I can do this.

Time to work.

keep your sox on

Ok, this slamming 11,000 words out in 3 days and weeping into my coffee before 6 a.m. thing is probably why it's taken me 3 years to get this finished. Soul scraping is not for the fainthearted. I may hafta wrap my beta reader up with athletic tape before the plunge into this part. Wo, I just learned cool stuff. Click the pic if you're curious.

I was hoping to get the fun stuff done this week, *nope*, bandaids ripping off right and left, here's my heart, my liver, my intestinal fortitude... I feel like a literary forensic toxicologist. This came from a really cool site.

I have nothing else right now. Just stand back while I wretch my brains out. #aspienado

moonshadow

I have nothing to blame this on except to confess I'm a horrible person sometimes. Snips click to source.

I try not to take things personally nowadays, but that one really irks me. It's not like I hold grudges or anything, right? But I guess tonight was one of those missed-a-med-dose-while-jetlagged combos that set off a few triggers and next thing you know, I come out shooting, just like the old days. You can get to my articles from the tweet sources after you've clicked the snips.

Read this next batch from the bottom up, new feed piles in on top when you're on twitter. And thanks to trackers, I'm able to see real time response to mobile alerts on twitter.

Why am I saying this? What is the point? In the old days, I was a nobody blundering around and found myself catapulted to a sort of morbid fame that still to this day has a number of people around the globe checking on everything I do. Nowadays I have way more friends, way more klout, and I'm doing things on purpose. People blowing me off have no idea what I'm about to do.

I don't monetize. I don't get paid to do anything I'm doing on the internet. In fact, I've invested quite a few of my own dimes into this whole writing thingy. I've never paid other people for material to put onto my own sites, because I don't believe in being too busy to fill in my own content. If someone is rising like cream to the top of podcasting and blogging on other people's content, then that person is a middle man who knows how to buy and resell.

I'm not a middle man. All my content is created by me for my own amusement. I decided nearly three years ago when I came back out that I'm not going to get lumped into someone else's domain hoping to use them for a ride, and they're not going to use my content to pay for their web hosting.

I have nothing against content writers. I have nothing against shared domain presence. What I do have a problem with is someone publicly dissing me and still using me as a traffic router. So yeah, I thought it was hella funny to run into a wide open tweet offering money to anybody for content. Kinda reeks of desperation. Not saying that's what it was, just saying. I'll even daresay someone's been drinking up the income on the road trips and needs to pay some bills now, so it's time to pump up some traffic.

You guys will never see me beg my readers for money or my traffic for content. As long as I am able to get on the internet, I will enjoy other people and I hope they enjoy me. And whoever those 60 people were- that touched me, more than you might imagine.

Lexx m'a fait stupide

K, I don't even know what to do with this. Not sure what bothers me more, that he's pink or that I found him in a 'pink goth' search. Someone spent quality time working on this one, which probably makes the rest of my day incredibly successful no matter how many times I fall on my face.

This, too, came up in the same 'pink goth' search, and I'm torn between being disturbed over these search parameters and wondering how far I live from Hayti and whether there is more cool weird stuff over there.

*wow* Not pink, but *wow*. That clicks to a page full of death guitars.

I find more pink and black in 'pink emo', and although I love the color smash, the whole vibe just isn't me, so moving on. This is the best I can get this morning on 'pink death horse' but the address it came from is so corrupted that I had to reconstruct the original site address, which I did, yay, so click for awesome wallpapers.

You actually have to scroll down to this and click it to get the full size wall of this pic I just posted. I did that, totally safe, worth the extra step.

Oh what the heck, one more before I get busy on chores.

Now we need a jam. Have an awesome day!

deep in the pink

I'd love to get through a Monday morning without a hangover. I don't even drink.

Ok, was looking for something else and just found awesome. Click for neato.

Yeah, that kinda screeched around a corner in your brain, didn't it? Veering wildly through free association on an early Monday morning.

Now see, this is what I'm talking about when I bring up monetizing and how I'll never do this to my readers. Awesome pic, but the page it came from is like navigating through a militarized zone. That makes me a cranky Pinky.

So when we get the brain chips, I can just see the litigations and class actions sprouting up over pop ups and blinky ads going off in our brains through everything we're trying to do (which is why we'll need driving programs and software updates in our sleep).

Pink hot chocolate is a real thing. I discovered this just recently. I think I need to get with the program.

I've gotta drive to the dentist all over again. At least I've got the week right this time. Better get my brain on.

the sleeping dead

What a nightmare. +_+

I was to be part of some huge college testing, and as I was getting ready in the morning someone moved all my clothes, then once there my tech didn't work right (we had to watch a video with headphones on as part of the testing), and after a couple of hours of utter angst and fail I finally got a professor to talk to me about a reset, at which point I abruptly woke up. Then Scott told me that after staying up late watching war movies, he dreamed he had to cut off a guy's head because no one else wanted to do it, and he can't remember if zombies were involved or not, but it was scary and awful.

So we bumped around getting our coffee and turned on the TV, and this is the very first thing we saw. Scott is all excited now, wants to try for it.

Don't forget about the new season starting back up tonight on AMC. I hope to be live tweeting with the SnarkAlecs and maybe start my twitter review back up again.
