New Year's Eve 2016

click for film source

*Wo*
, got hit from the Bermuda Triangle yesterday.

I've had so many hits from searches for Rick Lagina again lately from so many weird places that I am sworn to get all caught up again on Curse of Oak Island first thing after everyone else gets back into routine after New Year's. Concern about both his sex life and especially his demise have quintipled again, and I wanna see why. Apparently, someone in the Mayberry made for TV movie set area has concern about it as well.

Yesterday was day 2 on Bunny's tonsillectomy, so the suckage suckededed really bad. But I think she's about past that part now and will probably be up well into 2021 tonight.

Also yesterday I finally got the last of the kitchen flipping done. My mobile office of 4 1/2 years is no longer a campsite. The long term planning and execution around this took about 2 months, but it's a solid idea. I'll skip details (aspienado wants to include lengthy details, Pinky says no) and just say I wish I'd thought of this way sooner. Genius in slo-mo, as it were.

The only drawback is that @bonenado and I can now see each other across the house into other rooms as we are both on the internet, so I'm already tossing jokes out about making cubicles. It's weirding us out that we've lost our only privacy. This house has no hallways. To be able to sit somewhere in this house without looking up and seeing someone looking at you involves careful angle planning.

I've already lost my first resolution pound. GO ME!!! Yeah, not sure how, I ate ice cream last night. This year's motto is GO BIG OR FACEPLANT, so I'm shooting for the legendary 50 pounds thing. I did it in 2011 in only 4 months. What the hell, right? I've had 20 creep back on since then, and Pinky is putting a foot down and saying ohHELLno, so I guess we'll be seeing who's really the boss of me. We haven't really test driven this new emotionally healthy integrated Pinky personality into the wilds of menu planning yet, so this might get interesting.

My other big resolution (I made only two real ones) is to stop the f*@#G whining and get published, because several friends have been publishing all around me banging my head against the minecraft wall, and another year of that will have me self destructing onto a comedy stage or something.

I just told @bonenado not to throw a protective phone bag away because he's ruined me being the big recycler that holds stuff back in case we wanna sell it. I'm like are you crazy, have you looked up phone carry bags? I actually bought one the year we flew to Houston. It was ridiculously expensive. So he asked about starting an Amazon shop, I said I have no advice, just go do it because I either don't have the time or I'll own it and be the boss and you'll cry. He walked off muttering he wouldn't *cry*, he'd just hate me. I called out across our lengthy office space that if he's successful, I'll toss lots of stuff at him to sell. He said he'll be setting up a cubicle.

So we were out yesterday running around the state and stopped in at Osceola Cheese (picked up an aged swiss, mmmm), and it about knocked me over hearing a young hipster dad asking his 7 year old daughter if she preferred the apple wood smoked aged gruyere or the hickory smoked goat gouda. There's hope for Missouri yet. And she picked the gruyere, correctly enunciating the entire phrase back to her dad. *wow* I expect great things from that kid.

Seriously, they had just about everything except buffalo and donkey cheeses.

Hm. Just discovered I don't have enough eggs to whip up a yummy coconut cream pie for @bonenado. Deep regret reigns over us, for now we must venture forth again. Today is a big cooking day so I won't hafta cook again the rest of the long weekend. Queued in fridge is vension burger for meatloaf and chicken for BBQ, plus we've got chips for cheese and salsa dips and decided to blow the year out with ice cream before we really get serial about the last big challenge on the carb cutting thingy. Ice cream is our kryptonite.

Not sure if I'll be staying up for any kind of ball drop, but I had my party yesterday, and I'm good to go for 2017. Egads, I look like I have no hair at all... It's halfway down to my shoulder blades again and wildly staticky, so I tied it up and stuck a sock in its mouth like a big bad boss. I look like aspienado on drugs. Definitely not demure.

This is me shooting into 2017 like.

the sign of the shark

People born on Shark Week should have their own zodiac sign. People whose birthdays fall anywhere near or on Sharknado premiers should have their own red carpet parties and gossip pages, amIright?

These cracked me up. Wish I'd thought to make one of the bears look like it had an arm bitten off by one of the golfish sharks.

The 'ocean water' came from Sonic.

@bonenado in full party gear.

Actually, I'm not so sure he survived... This was later.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was my first watermelon shark and I was surprised how easy it was. First of all, you don't need this fancy serrated 'watermelon' knife, although it looks intimidating and I'm going to keep it around in case of surprise break-ins because it's long and impressively solid, plus dang sharp, so it could rip through skin like tissue. So watch out, crazy woman with a watermelon knife lives here. It's just easier to whack with a near-machete kind of knife, then do the detail work with a much smaller knife, because once the rind is off, the white part is actually pretty soft and easy to work with. I tried using a peeler, it sucked, just use a paring knife or steak knife to score your work area and gently skin off the outer rind.
I had a good look at these first, click pic for your own look. If I do this again next year, I'm sticking a doll in it like it's being chomped. I also forgot the back fin.
Close up. Bore little eyeholes and stuff with olives. I'll also look for a better watermelon next time, we grabbed one last minute and they were pretty picked over.
party line
Biggest challenge I'm having with my smart phone- it stops playing my youtube playlist if I toggle to another screen to look up something on the internet or send out a tweet. #firstworldproblems
Highlight of my week was running into the baddest assest Sherlock blog ever and barely being able to put my phone down long enough for a chiropractor to fold me into origami.
Yes, I do read other people's stuff. I plugged into that blog and sucked it up into my eyeballs so fast they almost popped. (Eyeball aspolosions are tiny and go *pop*, but they're still messy.) (So be careful- speed reading is one of those extreme sports.) (It's even more dangerous when I read so fast that I pick up a virus before my brain can block it.) (We're talking nanoseconds.) (Two cups of coffee before 5 a.m.)
Ok, where were we? Just deleted a ridiculous skew into a complexity of nonsense when I realized I was brain draining. Kinda like a snow boarder spending a day on the kid slope instead of slamming around cliffs and trees. Need to peel my bwains back off the screen and get busy on the real workout before warm up becomes the WORK.
The following happened before I inserted that vid.
(Detour into youtube land over someone's Embedding disabled by request nonsense.) (Why do the brilliant ones do this? Are they not aware anyone can still download the entire vid?) (And then of course, no one ever sees it because it's unshareable, and then vids like these suddenly go private and leave the few fans who've seen it weeping, and THAT's why I started vid salvage years ago.) (And now youtube's got this vid recognition program that stops other fans from reloading but not spam from reloading thousands of times, so in the past I've actually had to wait for restricted vids to disappear before I could even reload them.) (I'm on super slow pre-dawn glitchy router-tower stuff so I'm twiddling my thumbs, up to 33% now.) (I know, I could direct link it, but that kind of deflates the purpose of having a video uploaded into an iframe host, doesn't it? I mean, if you're going to be like that and not care if anyone ever even sees it, put it onto a different host on a private site, or unlist the thing on youtube instead of teasing people with it. That's what CDs are for.) (There are people on youtube who actually still offer to sell private copies of fanvids on CDs to people and gullible people that fall for that. All it takes is one person purchasing to upload it onto a public host to ruin that. I mean, step out of the stone age.) (And of course youtube is doing maintenance so it's in read-only mode, now I hafta wait to see if the vid even reloaded or got rejected.) (Some of you are wondering if what I'm doing is illegal. Fifty shades of grey, guys. Just reinforcing a probability matrix. It was all pre-owned material in the first place.) (82%) (Creator given credit in description. Looks like it's accepted. Still processing.)
(It's tempting to drink more coffee, but I know better than to do that. I've paced a few times. Really not in the mood to do chores or WORK while I'm waiting on this.) (Kinda funny that embedding is disabled but it can be added willy nilly to anyone's playlist.) (Here we go, yay!)
(I'm not bad, I'm just written that way.)
Valentine Bunny
A million things pop into my head when I see stuff like this, both pro and con, but foremost is my brain doing a Homer Simpson-esque screech to a halt and drool thing.
Even if I could do wheat, this would definitely put me into a hospital if I ate it and my glucose spiked up to a thousand.
But let's talk ~FUN~, shall we?
We have agreed to keep a kiddo overnight on Valentine's Day in exchange for two 30 minute massages (mama is a certified massage therapist). So I'm going to be pinking things up and having a gurl party, yay!
I bet grampa wouldn't mind having pink cheesecake or something.
I think we've outgrown the burrito moniker, so I've been tossing around other nicks- elfnado, peachnado, pinknado, but none of them really stick in my mind. Would Bunny be dumb?
I used to tell her mama that all her bunnies were bouncing out of the box (super ADHD) (we don't believe in medicating, although we have tried it, takes a lot of patience and energy), and this one is definitely a busy bunny. Gotta catch that bunny, she's zooming off with one of our phones again... Seriously, she has reprogrammed our phones, took @bonenado several days to figure out how to switch stuff back the way he likes his settings. Caught her about to reprogram the Vizio one day, that could have gotten very interesting. She's the fastest bunny I've ever seen, those little thumbs get going like a blur and never stop while she's running away and sneaking peeks to see if we're following her.
Let's just hope she doesn't grow up to be an evil bunny.
Yeah, you know I can't help this. Her mama was my little Xev (bottom of this post), and this one is my Bunny.
Let The SuperBowl Partying Begin!
Me to @bonenado through the morning.
"See, it's a matter of how you hold the book." Musical potty chair says "Yay!"
"You have to snore or you're not doing it right." Betending to take naps.
"Did you see my clever diversion into a new activity?" Watching Gramma make brownies and getting a cool new egg carton.
"Smooth move, ex-lax, gotta work on those secretly-handing-off skillz." Rescuing my $30 mouse and then accidentally throwing it back into all the wrong play. (She's already reprogrammed both our phones, long distance mouse clicking is akin to a terrorist threat.)
Every bit of this is worth all the falling over laughing that we do.
Miss Busy is working on cracking all the codes in the house. Her mama was five when I taught her how to turn the dials on the washer. Have a feeling this one will be doing our taxes by then.
By the way, this SpongeBob episode is an excellent pairing with yogurt and fruit bar dipper.
deep in the pink
I'd love to get through a Monday morning without a hangover. I don't even drink.
Ok, was looking for something else and just found awesome. Click for neato.
Yeah, that kinda screeched around a corner in your brain, didn't it? Veering wildly through free association on an early Monday morning.
Now see, this is what I'm talking about when I bring up monetizing and how I'll never do this to my readers. Awesome pic, but the page it came from is like navigating through a militarized zone. That makes me a cranky Pinky.
So when we get the brain chips, I can just see the litigations and class actions sprouting up over pop ups and blinky ads going off in our brains through everything we're trying to do (which is why we'll need driving programs and software updates in our sleep).
Pink hot chocolate is a real thing. I discovered this just recently. I think I need to get with the program.
I've gotta drive to the dentist all over again. At least I've got the week right this time. Better get my brain on.
