we've got the blubes

Notes of interest-

I impulsively bought this body pillow and matching blanket yesterday. A very tall guy couldn't take his eyes off it in my cart and had to stop and ask where I found it, then had to share with me his struggle with watching TV in bed. I nearly asked him if he'd thought of just raising his TV up a bit, like mounting it on a wall or something, but the rest of my brain nearly smothered that part gagging me, so I escaped fairly quickly. Two aspies meeting in Walmart is worse than a time travel paradox. I've wound up in 1-2 hour convos like that.

I have 5 gallons of blueberries in my freezer. My sister had an awesome blueberry year, so we bought up to the leftovers to sell to Scott's coworker who makes yummy blueberry wine. We also have another gallon in the fridge for us. I'm really wanting to try making something like this, except ours would be regular juice. It clicks to a whole page of wine popsicle recipes.

this particular recipe is called
blueberry cabernet cheesecake popsicle
yes, click those words for the recipe

I could also try blueberry ice cream.

Our electricity was off half the night because of storms. I got video of the very mild beginning. Right after I got that, it dumped so hard that we couldn't hear the TV, and after that it turned into wind lashing and hail hitting all sides of the house, and finally losing electricity through the night after it blinking and surging for half an hour. I think I'm the 5th Snarkalec to lose electric just in the last week, so these storms have been fairly nationwide.

I finally started my own realm on minecraft that allows me to invite other players, which I'll talk about at StarrStrukk on pinkybluejacky. (I haven't written that yet.) It's private so people can only get on with invitations, so only people I've known for awhile (like Snarkalecs), and that way if we feel like actually touring each other's creations we can. I turned bad mobs off and set to peaceful, no fear of structural damage. I created it to play survival and all my stuff wound up looking like military compounds, and I was so busy just surviving that I never made it past the first 1000 blocks, so it's wide open beyond that and totally unexplored. For now I'm just leaving all the original stuff I started at world spawn like it is and moving on. Maybe it'll eventually turn into a city. I (we) should make a welcome center or something.

I've been getting a visitor behind Bunny's back again. He's been eating her chalk and slyly taking a few older baby toys home. He looooooves anything utilitarian, and my house is pretty awesome for snooping out useful gadgets. I hear he has his own little vacuum cleaner that really works...

Batman has a broom thing, too. He does all kinds of big work at his house. Imagine the two of them together, my house would be spotless in no time.

I'm this close to doubling up my zyrtec again. This close.

Let's see, what else. Seems like there's so much going on. My mouse button is sticky. I nearly lost all my work multiple times all week long because somebody played with it with watermelon hands. I need to run a tighter office, I really let my people get away with far too much.

I should let this go and get busy on something. Everyone I know in the U.S. traveling for the weekend- be safe. And don't do stupid stuff with fireworks. You need both your eyes and the full use of your hands and stuff.

there is no U in aspienado

I'll be excruciatingly honest. I'm not made for this every day interaction stuff. I NEED deep-in-my-head time like normals just don't get. I don't crave companionship. I don't feel fuzzies when I see people I love. I am obnoxiously lacking the 'happy to see you' gene. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean at all that I don't love my kiddos. Just saying if you don't see me on social media this next week, I will be so deep in my cave that even the spiders will fear me.

Some stuff from this week. First of all, the sox Holly sent me keeping me sane.

And that was important because

I finally just gave up in disgust and haven't turned my laptop on much since, until this evening. Got about 1000 words written and my gurlz showed up again *boom* right in the driveway. And we've got one more day to go before this holiday weekend is officially over, which will make it 8 days in a row tomorrow. It's all good as long as no one talks to me the rest of the week.

Now the cute stuff, because even *I* am a sucker for cute nowadays.

You just can't go wrong with a squirt gun, a flash light, and those awesome boots.

You guys can't tell we're on coffee break. We were both working on our computers and she needed a coffee break, too.

30 minute drive, spitting as hard as she could the entire way, you know how that makes your nose go tickly-numb right up to your eyeballs when you do it long enough... We could tell she was experimenting. No telling what this bodes for the future, but I've got first dibs on calling high school drama club queen. If she doesn't go the theater route she'll be even meaner during volleyball regionals than her mama was, eating floor and slamming ball.

And no one will be able to stop her because they'll be destroyed by her cuteness.

I couldn't resist getting a shot of the winning hipster in town, how can you go wrong with a name like that and a chicken on your sign? Pic clicks to website.

Underneath it all, still writing.

Valentine Bunny

A million things pop into my head when I see stuff like this, both pro and con, but foremost is my brain doing a Homer Simpson-esque screech to a halt and drool thing.

Even if I could do wheat, this would definitely put me into a hospital if I ate it and my glucose spiked up to a thousand.

But let's talk ~FUN~, shall we?

We have agreed to keep a kiddo overnight on Valentine's Day in exchange for two 30 minute massages (mama is a certified massage therapist). So I'm going to be pinking things up and having a gurl party, yay!

I bet grampa wouldn't mind having pink cheesecake or something.

I think we've outgrown the burrito moniker, so I've been tossing around other nicks- elfnado, peachnado, pinknado, but none of them really stick in my mind. Would Bunny be dumb?

I used to tell her mama that all her bunnies were bouncing out of the box (super ADHD) (we don't believe in medicating, although we have tried it, takes a lot of patience and energy), and this one is definitely a busy bunny. Gotta catch that bunny, she's zooming off with one of our phones again... Seriously, she has reprogrammed our phones, took @bonenado several days to figure out how to switch stuff back the way he likes his settings. Caught her about to reprogram the Vizio one day, that could have gotten very interesting. She's the fastest bunny I've ever seen, those little thumbs get going like a blur and never stop while she's running away and sneaking peeks to see if we're following her.

Let's just hope she doesn't grow up to be an evil bunny.

Yeah, you know I can't help this. Her mama was my little Xev (bottom of this post), and this one is my Bunny.

pinterest is saving my gramma life

First day off the prednisone, yay! 17 days on steroid and no weight gain, but I know I'll still hafta watch it for awhile because rebound. Still doing zyrtec around the clock just to be on the safe side. Still haven't had any chocolate and only a couple eggs (possible triggers). Speaking of eggs, I'm somehow caught up to the hens and looks like I might even have to pick up a dozen eggs in town this week. The rest of the gang had big ol' pancake, bacon, and egg breakfasts a few times, plus I made cupcakes last week, so the eggs are gone.

This clicks to my Pinky board.

When I first discovered pinterest I was very skeptical, but especially since I've had grandkids and now all the pictures being texted to me every day, pinterest is the fastest and easiest way to organize and store them. I moved 400 pix off my phone yesterday, was pretty brutal on the eyes and wrists, but that's because I was flying so fast doing it. Bing, bing, BAM, a ton of pictures moved. In the old days I'd have laboriously uploaded to photobucket. Don't get me wrong, I love photobucket, but pinterest is da bomb, especially now with secret boards, board sharing, and auto locate if you want it.

Scott walked by while I was updating board covers on my laptop and saw his board and almost freaked out that I'd put THAT picture out there (vanity is a funny thing, isn't it? lol), and then went WHEW it's not like anybody ever sees it... Um, well.... Pinterest gets more hits than anything else I've got, actually.

Gotta run, but that doesn't mean you have to. This is cute.

things

I knew I had a lot of sox, but this was an eye opener. Yes, 3 drawers. The left drawer is my big fuzzy heavy cold weather sox. Middle drawer is full of fun footies. Right drawer is matchy dress sox. I'm pretty sure I have over 100 pairs of sox now. For some reason my sox obsession gets people excited and I wind up with some super cool gift sox that I've never seen before, which is awesome fun. Anyway, thank goodness for the new dresser. I pinned this to my sox board.

Got a little over 200 pix moved off my phone over the weekend, still a little over 200 left. Yes, mostly grandkid pix. I get to see everything, like-

the mosquito bites,

and the face after a beefaroni choking scare.

This weekend has just blown up all to pieces with me bouncing around recurring outbreaks after the initial wheat allergy on Thursday. Yesterday I wasn't anywhere near anything wheaty and started hard flushing while I was eating other stuff I've eaten for years, this time including chocolate and eggs in the ingredients, and since airway tried to get mildly involved, I finally decided after an hour maybe better go let someone know... Clinic sent me to ER in transport (good grief) and there I got another big solumedrol shot. Everything looks good, but I did get the COMMAND to get back on the high prednisone dosing as prescribed. All I have to say is "autoimmune" and "allergic reaction" and *bing*, all over it.

In the event I come across even more excitable and obsessive over the next 12 days (hopefully not crabby), it's pertinent for me to let everyone know I'm not a happy high dose prednisone camper and don't handle the stepping down dosing very well. I've already lost 6 pounds since Thursday just trying to avoid wheat and now being even more terrified to put anything else in my mouth, especially since I woke up with a new rash down one leg. My plans are to go super paleo for the time being, stick to basic home cooked NOT prepackaged meats and veg, and I'll definitely be taking blood sugar readings several times a day because of the prednisone. I'll hafta severely restrict and monitor carbs because steroid + diabetes can be a disaster. (I am intolerant of diabetes meds.) It's really not that hard, I wrote about figuring out how to do it. Diabetes and Steroid Meds

Back to fun stuff! I haven't set my team yet!!! And then laundry and writing and all kinds of stuff.
