I think the woman is Skype singing to Minecraft

click for cool article

I woke up with a beautiful song in my head that I've never heard before, a woman singing softly to an acoustic guitar.

Glass Houses

Two people in the flames of right or wrong
And the world is not that strong
Two people on the wind of their favorite song
And the music plays along
Two people in the wings their whole life long
Waiting to belong, oh-o
Waiting for so long

I often dream in music and rhyme. I've awakened from fantastic operettas and neato chiller musicals done in full character, costuming, sets, and film. No idea where any of this comes from. It's like I'm watching entertainment from alt worlds or something.

I'd have lost that if I had rolled over and gone back to sleep, so I boinged outa bed at 2:30 a.m. to write it down. I've got years of cool stuff lurking on the darker blogs. I often feel like Terry Pratchett's Hwel who wrote plays for The Dysk. I'd like to collect my scattered dream splats into one place over time on Pinky's Dreams at SyfyDesigns. It'll probably take a couple of years to run into them all as I go over all my old stuff in between doing new stuff.

Yesterday I learned how to download a mod pack and go into multiplayer on minecraft. Nope, no pix, I was fearing for my life since I had to stay in survival mode. My display driver threw a bunch of fits again yesterday, and I'm noticing it only seems to do that when I've got skype open along with other heavy stuff like minecraft, which doesn't bode well for future window toggling between hangouts, twitter, facebook, and whatever else. May be running Jawn back in for a checkup if this gets any worse. He's a top of the line gaming pro lappy, so this shouldn't be happening. I was kinda wondering if it's a bossy microsoft issue, but windows 10 seems to fully support minecraft interface, so I have no idea why pulling skype up starts trubbas. Really annoying when I'm trying to fight or run away and finding myself killed when the screen comes back up.

This is a town day, so most of my morning work is already done, and now I need to focus on getting out my door in a little while. Wrestled with a dumb redirect for awhile getting a new Lexx thing going, seems to be working fine now. I've got a couple of write ups in queue, and plenty more I can do through the year in between other projects, so that'll be a thing.

This song is really on my mind a lot this week. Love Nightwish. Cool that someone set it to LOTR. Srsly wanna dig around and see if anyone figured out how to make Hobbit doors for minecraft. Kai showed me a Lothlorien realm last week, it was stunning. The sheer amount of work that went into something that beautiful was breathtaking, and it's interactive.

Sherbo Smauglock Bagginbatch

Puzzle of the summer- why a guy on twitter who #FFs me every week doesn't follow me himself. I'm going to keep ignoring him. He's camped behind enemy lines in NYC. Well, I'm camped on the edge of Mirkwood, and no one over there in NYC has a clue the spiders I deal with at my own front door. I'm way closer to Mordor than he is, I think he needs to calm down a little.

In case your Friday was stupid, here, just click and go lose yourself.

Besides, all of us'ns around these parts know the preps being made for fall back when the real defcon goes off. You can take this with whatever grain of salt you want.

Shadow Government Bunkers: Security Heightened at Underground Storage Facilities

Srsly, this is in all the stores now.

Because the world needs pink salt.

Even though needle day went well intellectually, you can probably tell I'm still feeling a little miffy, and since we have a big Bunny day tomorrow, I think it best I stay off the webs tonight.

Brace yourselves.

places I can hide

For about a week my top post was depression, suicide, and Pinky's revenge. I actually never intended to become a depression blogger (I can't believe how many posts I've written on it), but I don't know how else to hug people through my screen. I know it's really hard out there.

My superpowers are growing.

That's why my dance moves are getting so awesome.

I hope you guys can imagine how this tweet looks in a #pinky hashtag feed, which is mostly porn. Yes, I take my puns very seriously. No, actually, I thought it would be easier to look for one of my #pinky tweets on the hashtag feed and about fell outa my chair, so I facepalmed and looked through my own photo/vid tweet feed instead. #bencongruity

I wonder how many views came in from the porn feed, though, because these two posts were hot on the heels of the suicide/depression post and suddenly flew right by it. Hope I didn't disappoint anyone. No one is yelling Take it off in comments, so that's good. Have to wonder if some of the regulars on that feed have become solid readers, though, since I've been making #pinky posts for a year and a half now.

Stuff from the last few days-

BATS! You remember I warned about rabies, right? That's a real thing. I see way too many people holding bats on the twitters. Never brush off a little bat bite like no big deal. It's a horrible death to go through.

This guy. As long as my finger and took a bit of leverage with a little stick to make him let go and fly away.

This last week has been so rough that I found myself plowing through sock bins Monday after my neuro date. I'm a back to school junkie, I try really hard to hold back until what I find is more rescuing the last of the cool stuff than filling the basket up with ALL THE THINGS.

Other back to school included updating my bugout bag (super cheap shark backpack from Walmart) and epi purse. Click for ---> way more pink camo stuff.

Between a register coupon, sale price, and using some of the points I earned, I got TWO free pints of Haagen-Dazs ice cream at Walgreens yesterday.

Going over the James River bridge in Ozark yesterday. Yep, same one that flooded higher than a car last month. And speaking of more rain, storms ripped through again this week, and now we've got a big leak in the kitchen because the tarred tarp bolted down with boards couldn't stop the 60+ mph winds. Big tree was blown over next door, they have roof damage. Our new roof can't come fast enough. I've never seen such a wet August, and then suddenly dropping 30 degrees yesterday and waking up in the 50s this morning. O_O We're all just really really confused- the trees, the bugs, the lawns...

I WANT THIS BATHROBE. So did this person. If I went to all that trouble, I'd be more into the velvet, brocades, and piping details. You know how Mrs. Hudson jokes about Sherlock's blog post on a comparison of textile fiber tensile strengths and origins? There really are people out there who do this. <--- But I don't care what anyone says about the incongruity of this bathrobe in the Shire, the real tragedy was not mass producing it for fans. $Kaching$. Anyway, one of my sisters is a quilter, I come from a whole family line of expert seamstresses and quilters (Mennonites), I know a lot about fabrics and marketing thanks to a 5-year retail stint, and I'm shocked and appalled that as much work as was put into this bit of costuming, it wasn't merched to the fans, who would easily have paid the high dollar ticket just to have it. However, thanks to a pinterest link, I've also found TARDIS toile. And who could resist the Sherlock collectionYou're welcome.

The nacho experiments are going well. I have discovered cooking up an entire package of Italian brats or a pound of taco meat ahead and freezing portioned cooked crumbles into little ziplocks is so easy to get out and thaw later and top onto corn chips with shredded cheeses out of a bag. @bonenado and I can split this and call it a light supper.

Speaking of @bonenado, he's been teaching Bunny how to hang out like old guys. Probably talking about the neighbor.

Sorry the posts lately have been so lengthy. I seem to be in a regroup kind of mind, like how you zoom around, stall out and coast, spring forth and boing around, spaz out again, get cranky and shake yourself by the collar, and suddenly realize OH, I think I've got a virus, on top of all the antihistamines super squelching all the ragweed on top of teetering back and forth on the brink of spiky pain monster on top of life throwing an entire roof replacement on top of football season and new shows starting back up on top of the boss maybe selling the business just before we get the roof loan on top of MOAR STORM DAMAGE. This is way too big for Benedict. I need The Doctor.

Darth Pinky brainwashing the next gen padawan

I guess I'll be spending the rest of my week in shock. Aspienado + EnergizerBunny = brain freeze.

My coffee-chocolate-xanax-youtube-giphy cocktail isn't working. I need multiple brain chips sending soothing brain wave algorithms, stat.

I can't get this stupid song out of my head. Heeellllpppp mmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Oh, thank goodness, someone else had it stuck in their head, too.

GOD BLESS FANS.

Stumbling into the darker side of fandom distraction. Poking eyes out. Linking for others out there who are more desperate than me. Just click the pic.

I have completely abandoned @bonenado. I'm debating whether to feel guilty. Or go eat another gluten free chocolate cookie in front of him with my headphones on. I reflect on how funny I find Bunny being his biological descendant and technically not mine. I feel smug. I actually think Bwhahahaha. The cosmos retaliates immediately with super glitchy internet during a downpour. I am duly rebuked. Must find another crack vid. ~or something~ I think we found something we can dance to.

Pinky Patrol

Ok, let's see where we are...

New year, new duties. I'm now on spambot patrol at the LittleLexx.net forum. That means I'll hafta check my 'official' email account more often. Hadn't realized 4 months went by since I'd checked the forum, and I'm really bad to not check that email account even once a week. I guess all that big prednisone in September messed me over, and then holidays, but now I've gotta FOCUS.

New year, new braining level. I've requested my LinkedIn archives because my brain is finally on enough to piece together early 2013 memories. That started with scouring old emails (yes, same email account) going way back for a single photoshop I did of Stanley Tweedle that I thought I emailed to myself from a much older computer collection (at the time I didn't have a pinterest account, which would have been much faster getting into from my laptop), and as I was speed scrolling I screeched to a halt in the middle of massive correspondence between 2 other website owners I was writing articles for because I caught sight of the LinkedIn notice that Gary Graham requested a connection, which was fortuitous because I had started wondering a couple of weeks ago for some reason exactly when that happened (I really have no memory of that)- aaaaaand promptly deleted it by mistake. High speed brain flexing is still a new toy, apparently the finger part of my brain didn't get the memo in the same split nano second as the other parts and *poof*. I wasn't upset, if anything I was still floating in amazement that my past is still pretty organized and *there* after all the brain fail I've been through. Still reconnecting synapses, but already I'm thrilled to no end that I'm understanding things like written instructions now, and remembering my way around the ridiculous LinkedIn maze. That's not the most user-friendly place in the world, so connecting those dots and finding out I can get archive history was pretty awesome this morning. Press the big pink button to see my profile there. By the way, I suck at recommending, sorry.

New year, new fears. I have a dr appt tomorrow, made it through all the holidays without one trip in this year, yay! That's pretty huge for a person like me. I'm suspecting I might be going hyperthyroid again though (crossing my fingers it's nothing more than that), kinda dreading asking for tests but I know better than to wait till I drop. Sudden onset of scary stuff is no joke, and bad stuff happens all the time to people who tolerate slow accumulation of symptoms without noticing. Last thing I need on possible jacked up SED, ANA, and atypical organ enzymes (yes, I'm probably blowing it out of proportion, but that's better than ignoring) is thyroid fail, and I feel like a couple of meds I'm on are masking a deeper problem than simple SVT showing back up. If aliens ever take me as a pet, they're going to wonder why I croaked off so fast, so I hope they never do.

New year, new friends. I'm trying to keep track of everyone, I really am. Please don't feel bad if I don't notice you for 2 months or something, especially while I'm in phone fail. I'm barely keeping up with my own family, and they can tell you I've never done this well with so many friends all over the place, so I feel like I'm in on a kind of new planet and still learning the city map and getting on the wrong subways and stuff. In the meantime...
