when mental illness complicates autism

Out of currently 1087 published posts, I have 150 with the word 'alone' in them. I tried to search for 'alone in the house', 'alone all day', and other alone phrases, but that's a lot of grind work for a blog this big. In case you want to search for anything in this blog, there is a "Search This Blog" bar in the right side column just beneath the featured post.

I used to love being alone. Many days I have craved alone time when I'm with other people. I didn't tell anyone for a long time, though, that sometimes I have days where I'm afraid to be alone. With myself. With Myself.

When I was still a young kid, I felt Me. It felt weird to feel Me. Sometimes on those days I would be very aware that I was a walking skeleton, or would sometimes feel like a doll I was moving around. I know nowadays that is called dissociation. To some degree it's very normal to click into an objective perspective and 'see' things from a different point of view. To do it constantly and feel stuck that way, like you can't get back 'in', isn't normal. I did that a lot as a kid.

When I dissociate on a bad day because extreme fatigue or pain spike or sometimes other things causing brain chemical changes (I'm hyper reactive to meds, for example), I lose being able to control how I present. I do and say things that seem confusing. For about an hour yesterday I felt like a box full of fireworks that started going off all at once, and I was experiencing all the emotions almost simultaneously or back to back without any coherent thread of why. There was no logical cause. I couldn't tell what was happening until I started writing, and pretty quickly, I think in about 10-15 minutes, I realized I had spiked into the nether regions of depression. My psychiatrist would like a harder diagnosis that I suspect would result in manic depression and possibly more, but since my psychologist monitors me and I don't seem to consistently go into the more hardcore 'manic' list of symptoms, the debate is left hanging without further testing. Yesterday, though, I definitely dissociated and once I realized it was happening, I was able to pull myself into focusing moment to moment. I did ok, made it through the rest of the day without incident, handled everything ok, made it to bedtime without any problems, at least on the outside.

I've mentioned my mom forcing me to learn to self monitor as a child through sometimes severe corporal punishment, which is now proven to be psychologically scarring and emotionally stunting. Because of that experience, though, I am much more objectively aware of myself than some people. (Not to be confused with the self UNaware state of autism spectrum, which is a social deficit/interaction problem.) I've met people who don't have a clue how to even see another point of view objectively at all, but mostly the people who can seem to be afraid of it. I ventured into objectivity at a young age and played with taboo in my head for many years, mostly as thought experiments that included every conceivable debate about God(s), right vs wrong, reality and realism, and much more. I can emotionally derail and catch myself fairly quickly with diversion, basically cutting the emotion part off. The part in between the derailing and the catching is spooky. People say I'm scary, and it's not because I'm violent so much as unpredictable, I think. I'd say the same thing about my dad because I got to see more of him growing up than my sibs, and I know his cognitive rigidity is his way of not derailing.

Personally, I know I can rely on myself to never cross certain lines, but dissociating is one of those things where you can't always see where the lines are. It's important to reach out and start dealing with real as soon as it starts happening. It's important to be honest and let people know I'm dealing. Trying to hide it never turns out well in the long run. For some people, it's a very short run because they commit suicide or start killing people, and I can tell you from the inside of that state of mind that there is no logic, no red flags, nothing stopping a dissociated person from living out a nightmare and never realizing what they're doing.

People don't like talking about this stuff. It's pretty common, because it's a reflexive survival tool the brain uses to get through something difficult, and some of us do it all the time without even realizing it. Some people cover it up with med, drug, or alcohol use, some people simply have a line of 'reasons' ready, some people just pretend it never happens, like don't talk about it and don't rock boats kind of thing, and then bringing it up is super awkward and makes things worse.

I am #aspienado and I don't want things to get worse. I am using #transparency and #honesty to talk about my stuff, and I keep using public social medias and a game server to keep my balance because it's hard for me to talk on phones and I don't have real life friends or family close by while @bonenado is at work.

I talk about being broken, and I say that we're all broken to some extent in some way or another, and I think 'kindness is logical' is a good belief to hang onto when all else fails me. I can stop immediately and ask myself- What am I doing right now? What do I want? How do I get what I want? Is what I'm doing to get what I want breaking anybody?

Breaking each other is a way of life in many religious and political systems. It's very effective. The better option, though, in my opinion, is kindess. It lasts longer. No matter how I am feeling in any moment, even when everything is black and stupid, I believe Kindness Is Logical.

Aaaaand someone beat me to that hashtag by just under 2 months, lol. That person is promoting 'love is hate' and sexism. Let's see if I can change that. I'm really tired of doublespeak.

aspienado on facebook

Bluejacky is back, and I finally nabbed aspienado in a FB address.

Bunny bomb is almost imminent.

My niece just intro'd me to Notepad++. I'm understandably very excited.

I see psyche guy today. I have no idea what we'll talk about. I seem to be dealing with all my stuff on Pinky blog lately. @bonenado has noticed I've become more intense on the neurontin, more brain energy available now that a significant portion of nerve chatter has been muffled. I hope it lasts.

Speaking of intense, yesterday turned into deep convo day with several key people in my life, and I noticed I was able to handle it sooooo much better on the neurontin, another reason I hope this med lasts with me. This is for both my kiddos and their kiddos, my niece, my Sam (everybody needs a Sam), my sisters, and my fave MIA who managed to throw a smiley at me, and especially @bonenado, who laughs with me every day even when it seems like everything is sucky hard. And all the rest of you, too. Please to have good days, because I love you. Yeah, it's the med, but I still mean it. (I actually told the nurse and doctor I loved them before and after colonoscopy one year, because I. love. everybody. on sedation.)

is the minecraft pill red or blue?

*wow*

Ok, first of all, @bonenado has gone down that GoT rabbit hole and we are slamming through episode after episode every night after work like nothing we've ever done before. Since we haven't been an HBO subscriber for several years, I more or less ignored all the live tweeting and most of the memes. I think my biggest question right now, waiting on s3 to walk in the door, is whether George RR Martin wakes up sweating from nightmares about all this pressure now. I know I would.

Actually, what I'd really like to ask him are these- 1) when he first hired paid staff (I want staff so bad), 2- whether he uses a personal handler (besides an agent) to interface with his staff and his agent(s) (I need help interfacing so bad), and 3- did he ever hide from a publisher (I'm hiding from my publisher).

Second of all, we went there. Me and psyche guy having the minecraft psyche analysis talk, and me looking more and more crazy by the minute being all excited about my spider spawner room under glass and my Dr. Evil conference room with the shark tank and the cool movie theater I built, and he's never even seen an Austin Powers movie. Or LOTR. I asked. So I totally plunged over the cliff of insanity today with my psychologist, and there may never be any of this going back to my sex life stuff. Just trying to describe shipper vid appreciation from my rather unique angle has swirled those rainbow cupcakes in my little eyes till I glow. I swear I'm morphing into an enderman. I'm nearly in that minecraft spirit world now. About the only thing we truly agree on is that minecraft is better than doing heroin. Yes, he actually said that. I'm sure we both meant it in different ways...

Third of all, I HAVE MY VOICE BACK. I missed talking. I'm ready to talk someone's ears off. I'm ready to hunt someone down and corner them and talktalktalktalktalk. I think I'm catching a break from the big storms that rolled through this week, kinda stripped all those long oak pollen strings and sucked the air out a bit, like Mega Maid.

He's home, here we go.

minecraft- spy games

How about a power point today? There's so much going on that I need to keep notes on somewhere, and really not in the mood.

photo sigh.gif When you upgrade photobucket, don't forget to turn your old recurring payment off. Had to hunt down a help access over the auto reset back to the old plan after I'd just upgraded. It was all fixed within 24 hours, though, very efficient.

photo dead.jpg Sitting way too much already this month. Lots of appointments, ergo lots of driving and waiting rooms. Also sitting through arm therapy. Fixed up a standing work station for old lappy, Jawn will very soon be moving, as well, and I'll be getting all over lower core this month to once again stop the numbness and tingling down my legs that will undoubtedly evolve into nasty pain spikes and the heating pad if I don't get on this. Waiting rooms would be more awesome if they'd replace televisions and a few of the chairs with gizmos we could do workouts on while we wait. Or a dance area. With a disco ball and everything.

photo tired.gif Yesterday's dx was cervical spondylosis. I can't tell that much has really changed on the scan, if anything there's been so much improvement over the last couple of years, but they could have dx'd this years ago if a scan is what they're going by. The last neurologist I saw before this one a decade ago completely dismissed an obviously herniated disc, but after 4 years of physical therapy we'll just call it your common every day garden variety arthritis. I've lived with this neck injury since I was 19. But it's hardly their fault when my dad was the one who pulled me out of the ER and took me home before I could get any x-rays or even advice on how to handle internal bleeding and stuff, or pain shock. I'm sure I'd have gotten some outstanding scans back then. I was finally validated the other day when medically certified person totally drop jawed staring at me asking how in the world I didn't die when I was ejected like that. I would have loved to hear just once my dad saying "I'm glad you didn't die" or "Are you ok?" or any other word of acknowledgement about my existence. He's not a bad man, but so sooooo super aspie. That emotional disconnect was more severe than Spock and his dad. Wah, poor Spock, his daddy didn't mind meld with him... I'll show script writers some real Vulcan pragmatism.

photo angryfire.gif Okay, looks like today's gonna be a pissy day. Let's get back on track. Power point. Not wordy words. Especially with my hands hurting like this. Did I mention my hands hurting yet? No? Good, this can be another power point, then.

photo crazy.gif @bonenado dragged me through a Rathbone version of Sherlock Holmes last night. I can't even. I need drastic measures after that one. Hang on. Ok, here, because the most boring scene in Sherlock far outpaces the most brilliant scenes in ANY OTHER Sherlock Holmes EVER. Oh, NSFW bcuz language, sorry.

photo goth.jpg Yes, that's working brilliantly, already less inclined to violence. Plus I have coffee in me now. Here, have another one, on the house.

photo pink-heart-teensy.png Ok, where were we? Ah, yes, power point. Totally went there with psyche guy yesterday. The whole transition thing, the rescue measures involving several friends pulling me away from twitter, because I'm still public huzzah and not disappearing yay and being properly defused by genuine people who get me thank god. Because that's really what it takes. Aspienado can't do this alone, I do need a team to help me, and I especially appreciate one vital sleeve tugger and new direction push who likes remaining anonymous. Kai says she sounds like a wonderful friend. Yes, she is. I owe her so much for initiating the move I had to make for this transition to happen. Anyway, I've got psyche guy scheduled every 2 weeks now this spring, and I promised him we'll finally get into my sex life. I've only been seeing him for 8 years now, lol. I'm sure the Lexx fandom is as curious as he is what in the world actually goes on in my head sometimes regarding sexuality, because so much is mizundastood about 'pangender asexual'. This has affected so many relationships throughout my life without other people understanding how or why, and I guess it's about time I spill to someone. THIS is how I survived the underground without getting sucked in and killed, guys. But enuf 4 now.

photo glasses.gif Experienced my first lava death in a mine yesterday. I'm also no longer a redstone and diamond blocks virgin. One of my crew loves going into the netherworld to bring back awesome stuff to use and sell, took this screencap. I grabbed it to use in my rotating wallpapers. One of these days I'll go in there and ride a fire horse, too, but for now I'm just spying on neighboring towns and beachcombing and scouting out the tundra and stuff. This clicks out to full size if you need a cool wallpaper to dazzle your coworkers, or at least fake them out.

photo pirate.jpg I can tell other people have been coming through our territory, so we used our town status to claim the beach house as an outpost in case anyone starts ripping off our stuff. In the meantime, I'm all over reconnaissance, because as quickly as some of this stuff is going up, our part of the world will soon be all city, and next thing you know, our beach house will be like Jersey Shore or something. All these are spy pix, and they're from two different building groups.

The first thing that caught my eye was that dragon/dino thing right in the middle of this pic. Coooool.

It's a pet, so it didn't attack me. It would be awesomely cool if we could code pets like this to defend our town borders.

And I guess some pets just can't be stopped from being their jackassy selves, lol. Kai's cat hisses at me and scratches me, too. We had a real donkey when I was in high school, yes, they do bite when they're pissy.

This is me not stealing any of your boats. Lock your chest, guys.

Minecraft twitter... lol.

lol, that reminds me of this yesterday.

Ok, back to me, swimming selfie before I lost my awesome armor in lava yesterday.

photo 25lovecoffee.gif Time to wrap my brain around getting out my door again in a couple of hours. Ug. Wonder if I could throw a dart at youtube suggestions for inspiration. And here we go. Youtube never fails me.

#unBenCumbered, or a Pinky with very little brain

click pic for dictionary, click here for Ben goodies

This is Pinky's brain irl-

Hurtle out door, 5 miles up road turn around to come back for copy of keycode for Kaspersky, printer out of ink, make phone calls about not stopping by to drop lappy off first for Office keycode retrieval and squeaking in late to psyche appointment, squeak in the exact amount of late estimated, fortunately have lappy in tow and show Christmas vids to psyche guy, get to computer store and find out lappy wasn't needed for Office keycode source since it's associated with my MS account and realize I could simply just add new lappy to it, watch tech nerds fail to super facepalm with me for telling me to bring lappy in instead of realizing it themselves, facepalm again because brains the size of walnuts and these are super gamer nerds who don't even know what the Syfy channel is because they live and breathe hard drives, wonder if they understand the concept of joking, wonder if they're in shock because I'm female, continue wondering if they're pod people who don't realize our world is swimming in social media and it's ok to evolve away from dino brains now, shake my head and say it's cool to take a week installing Kaspersky due to backlog and walk back out the door while puns like unBenCumbered rock my head, pile up on paleo MEAT and VEG at Harter House and come home and collapse.

And now I'm about to rip into Old Amsterdam "Intense Character" aged gouda worth over $1 an ounce and let the sensation float me away. This is the most awesome dark coffee pairing I've ever floated away on. Maybe #napclub will consume me soon after and this will all have been just a crazy dream.

the cocaine of groupthink

click for dedicated fansite
Bills. Slid right off my tracks after months of being on the ball. Well, technically I'm only two days overdue on just one thing because all the rest are autopay now, But still, BAD ME!!! >=l Braincation has gone a little too far. Guess I'd better get back on track today and look at the ol' bank account. I hafta do that anyway because my Representative Payee Report arrived yesterday, and I have little boxes to tic and numbers to fill out. This is an unbelievably epic fail kind of chore for me, but every year I get a little better at it. @bonenado has to approve and sign before it goes out.

Tomorrow is psyche guy, not to be confused with psyche guy, lol. I've been calling my psychologist 'psyche guy' for years. My psychiatrist always comes out as 'my psychiatrist' because it cracks me up saying that. My ~psychiatrist~ (said in high fashion sunglasses with a pinky up holding a martini). I feel pretty Jeff Spicoli lately, so I haven't thought very much about my psyche guy visit this time. A couple years ago I was on countdowns between visits and hanging on by my fingernails through some pretty hellish stress after holidays. Last year I was taking the year off because everything was clicking for me for awhile, and I didn't care that my brain fell out over holidays because it always does. This year I got through pre-holidays like a boss while all my kids and their kids were here for the first time in ever and then brain crashed all over Christmas and beyond, thanks to a very sudden out of the blue overload trigger. I've been laying on the jagged river rocks ever since, purging my soul again, watching a broken world float away, slowly noticing the things around me starting to unblur. Sounds dramatic, but it's mostly about crying in dark rooms. Writers practice making everything sound cooler than it really is. Truer words would be that I spent Christmas day on through New Year's processing through missing my mom and all the things we never got to share, and why.

Had a good talk yesterday with a friend who ignores twitter completely about the whole twitter soul jerk thing, because that's what it is, isn't it? If you're going to use a twitter account, you gotta be able to take the rough stuff, like the first thing you see waking up being another icon being tweeted freshly dead a bazillion times in every conceivable fashion and then being tagged all day long with other people expressing their sorrow or paying their respects, and the only way to get through it is ignore everyone and just trailblaze on through. I refuse to get sucked into the shock trip over and over and over, because that's what twitter is, isn't it, one continual shock trip burning our eyes out in between being silly and arguing and more cat gifs than you ever knew existed. I'm all for group mind, but this we've all gotta go into shock thing together- NO. Hell, no.

I still remember when this guy died. It was a true shock because he was so young and I was really upset because this was my fave show when it happened, and he was the main character. The world has mostly forgotten him now.

Trailblazers do things other people aren't doing. They don't follow crowds around like schools of fish hanging onto shirttails. That sentence is incongruent. It may be good for sales to brain train groupthink, but it's not good for my soul. It's always going to be something, and it's always going to be someone, and it's always going to be me trailblazing through the incongruent shallows looking for the deeper undertows, because THAT is where all the good stories are.

I like twitter for touching base. It's handy for real time checkins and the fastest way on earth to know #allthethings and probably the most efficient way on the planet to channel like minds together. As a social psychological construct, it highlights groupthink experimentation and spotlights the obvious in ways no other social media can. But. There's always that but, isn't there?

Me and twitter irl.

hybrid- how robots go on

I wrote this last night.

She's right.

I deeply appreciate and respect people who devote their lives to standing up for something extremely difficult to talk about, and not only speak for people who can't yet handle speaking for themselves, but spend swaths of quality time helping them take those first steps out into public view. I've never known why Rachel followed and linked up with me across our medias, but, unlike so many other 'big' people, she never dropped back off as she has grown. She's been amazing to watch.

I'm floating somewhat aimlessly through email alerts full of links while I listen to a song over and over, softly ricocheting around the webs in what seems like haphazard wanderment (that's a real word), and realize when I see Rachel floating by on still another feed page that I've come full circle.

I didn't know what to write. How does a person write the numb. The pain that is so old and still so consuming that it's just part of you now. Part of every cell, every breath for years and years and years.

Because I found this today.

The woman who didn't make it in that story looked like this in school.

One of my top posts this last month has been Force choking hazard. Thank you for that. I know too many, too much.

This is one of those nights I could slip away quietly into the depths of the net and not come back. But I ran into Rachel. And then I remembered other people watch me the way I watch her. We watch because we need someone to say what we can't say ourselves yet. We hide in shadows and watch someone grow bigger than the shadows. We start stepping out because someone else showed us how to step out.

Imagine the world if we all stepped out at once. Maybe that's a thing that's already happening. Maybe #PinkyRobot's revenge will asplode the world the same way I see other people asploding it. I want so badly to blow the world up and change ideas. But a really clever robot goes slowly, moving pieces one by one, getting that pawn across the board through raging wars and bloody battlefields, ducking in and out, waiting and darting, diverting and charging, until the time comes to regain the Queen. And then words can shoot like lasers all over the board, and no one is immune.

And now it is this morning.

Pinky was already a robot when that happened, and it was the biggest shutdown I ever went through. How do people become robots, anyway?

People Whose Feelings Have An On/Off Switch Are Terrifying

It's better to be silent and stick around saying "I don't know what to say" than to pour out support and suddenly walk away frustrated. The first action says "I love you", the second says "You're hopeless and my love is conditional."

I Have Two Personalities I Switch Between at Will

I have joked for years about Spock and SpongeBob in the same head.

Survival is always top priority. Never feel guilty for surviving. We do what it takes to survive. That includes self medicating, reclusing, masking, obsessing, and all kinds of other behaviors.

Once you become aware that you are doing behaviors to survive, you are at a good place to make decisions about stepping past those behaviors and recreating yourself. You might be really good at walking a tightrope blindfolded, but you might fall trying to step off the tightrope, so phrases like 'support network' and 'safety net' are something to think about. Make a Plan. You're not alone (not really), and there are all kinds of people who are experienced and trained to help people figure their stuff out. If you don't have family and friend support, you still have professional support.

If you have reached a point where you feel desperate and don't know what to do, all you have to do to get the ball rolling is walk into an ER and say Yes when check in asks if you have thoughts of or want to hurt yourself. It doesn't matter if you're not suicidal or not a self harmer, what matters is that you feel desperate and need help NOW. If you feel desperate and can't even do this much on your own, call 9-1-1 and they will be awesome helping you get there.

If there is no way you'd ever do that, that's cool. Go see your regular doctor and say you'd like a referral to see a mental health specialist. That's how I got my first appointment with my psychologist. I had realized on my own that I have a history of losing friends and that I thought it had something to do with communication problems, and the reason I wanted help was because it had happened again and I was so sad over it that I almost couldn't function. I needed to solve a problem that was gunking up my robot gears. Over several years we have uncovered and solved several problems directly relating to this reason for coming in, and I'm much happier and healthier now, and way more functional. Some of you watched part of this process after I committed to public blogging.

In case you're curious about what happened up there and feel brave enough to learn more, here is more. Please don't talk to me about it. You can see I'm clearly not ok. You already know I'm back in therapy. If you do one thing for Pinky- open your eyes. I understand if you don't want to see this stuff all around you. I even understand if you walk away from someone convincing yourself everything is fine and you didn't just see something bad. But keep your eyes open. Don't take the blue pill and go back under.

Here we learn why April affects me so badly. Remember how I angsted on Pinky blog why April was always so sad for me? You guys watched me go through uncovering a repressed memory. start here for the rerun And then you watched me tie that into another friend who helped me bridge past an emotional wall 8 years ago, and I spent the summer finally dealing with losing that friend, too, although, thankfully, only because her survival mode kicked in and she kind of had to extricate from Pinky going through an existential crisis and deal with her own stuff. I still love her, and I totally get that now.

embracing the thug life

Got a call yesterday that my psychologist is back and would I like to set up an appointment with him now that he's taking patients again?

He's back. I didn't even know he was gone. Well, I was aware he took a leave of some kind for something I can only guess might've been serious in his family maybe, but I was already 'turned loose' and didn't worry about it. We've all got stuff, right? Last thing a psychologist needs is another stalker.

Tell me he doesn't look like Tom Vize.
Keep my prosopagnosia in mind, but it kinda
tickles me because I am a big
Kathy Griffin fan from way back
So I'm all what the heck, YEAH, let's do this, so we wrangled over appt times, which is crazy funny now that I'm all booked up with physical therapy and nerve conduction test and on top of chiro and dang, the jetsetter life is back on again. I mean, I saw the guy way more than I saw my own dad and siblings over what, 6 years? He watched me go through my mom dying, and aside from Scott, I actually don't have a better friend, if it's even possible to call the guy that, so yeah, I wanna go see his face and shake his hand and maybe not actually give him a hug but maybe GIVE HIM A HUG. I still don't know if that kind of stuff is inappropriate, but I know it's gotta be way less creepy than giving him an eyeball hug via furtive glances. #aspienado Anyway, I could've gotten in his first day back, but it would've been late in the day against rush hour traffic and me with my brain skulking down around my ankles because I'm a morning person, so it'll be a couple of weeks.

I need some evil villain swag, including a sweet brain case to hold it all together.
Pic clicks to hilarious movie review.
I originally went in, seriously, for realz, for communication help because I was bombing so badly with a friend after flailing through a public fandom. The aspienado thing is one of the consequences of deeper investigation into how and why I continually blow up bridges. How ironic is it going to be that going back in I'll be saying, Oh, yeah, got a weird little country by Malaysia all freaked out over a love slave post...

Actually up to 609 now since yesterday.
When I first showed him Lexx he called me the fandom pimp. The guy seemed to have no clue what photoshopping, manips, and fanfics are, which really aren't my area of expertise, but he pegged me in one session about my obsession with a TV show. He didn't say this all at once that day, more like spread out over time, that I'm clearly a narcissistic exhibitionist with baditude, but I maintain that keeps me from curling up in the dark with my self destructive full blown anxiety and depression. Oh, and I've come out this last year about my alcoholism and my orientation, definitely about the depression, plus pix of my health struggles, so while he and I were on vaca from each other, I feel I've made some pretty big steps forward owning my stuff. Considering I started out on the webs as an alien and made a game out of seeing how many tens of thousands of people I could block on facebook (you can't block Mark, I tried every which way), I'm calling this progress. For someone coming from a solid conservative Christian background, I'm pretty badass. (You see what I did there, right? Just came out on religion and politics, BUT you guys already knew about the Mennonite background, so that's no big reveal, really.) I'm still a cynic. That'll probably never change.

Who doesn't love Burt Gummer
The actual challenge, for me, is saying all this stuff out loud. Making real words with my mouth and syncing them into real time thoughts in a back and forth convo flow with another real person. One of the biggest things I learned about myself in his office was that I'm easily led. I treat all convos the same way I do my surveys at Surveypalooza. I free associate right off the page so fast that whatever reasons I'm really there talking for evaporate like soda pop on an Arizona sidewalk.

Definitely click this
Another big thing I learned is that it didn't matter how #dismalfail a session felt, I got tons of thinking done at home in between sessions, and always made progress because of it. Yes, it was grindingly slow sometimes. Yes, I wanted to give up over and over and over. Yes, I facepalmed my way through most of it. BUT. You see me on the webs now. You see me thriving. You see me handling my stuff and rolling with every awkward punch life throws at me. It was hard, but so was being raised by my mom, so the least I can do is go back in and tell this guy THANK YOU. Thank you for tolerating my cynical jackassy self for so long, because so many people haven't.

Me and psyche guy irl.
