rage quit quitting, wtf-ing and disclaiming, and those wascally wussians

K, I'm over the moc thing, lotta water under a bridge and thank goodness someone sane knows how to talk me down.

Now let's have some fun. 😁

Got this in my mail. Absolutely no idea, not a clue, why, wtf, wut, nada.

When I click that link it goes to this site, which looks legit when it first pops up.

However, when I remove the ?bhu= to peel it down to an original dotcom, it goes to this.

Please note that neither address on those last two shots have my name in the site address, like the original link did in the email above.

This is not the first time I've discovered that Pinky is associated with t15h in .ru, which basically means someone has a site set up in Russia specifically for link smashing app spamming junk. Why my name? God knows. Why Andrew Potts? God knows. The only connection I have to an Andrew Potts is I once ordered Little Links merch from his keychainproductions site, plus I've made a big deal in past linking a bit of his stuff around my blogs.

Just to make sure it's me Pinky and not one of the 12 other ones, I checked other Pinky's stuff, and I'm pretty sure there's no connection, except through me linking, which I rarely do so our content doesn't get entangled. She has her thing, I have mine, we both happened to be grabbing web IDs at the same time without even knowing it, I wound up with the twitter, she got the pinterest, another Pinky entirely got the facebook, still another got the linkedin, and dang if there aren't just a slew of PinkyGuerreros taking over the world. But not like this weird link, that is NOT any of us. By the way, if you EVER see my name on anything asking for money, it is NOT me unless you also see it linked on my official dotcom.

I'm going to make a big bad guess that this is one of my *cough*botfollowers*cough* fans who just loves pestering Pinky blog hoping to get some attention. Well, here you go, you got attention. The whole world can see you bugging me and either pretending to be Pottsy or bugging him too or whatever the boink is going on, and dang if I'm not getting a heads up poking me to go see what you're doing. Who knows, it might've ALL been you, right? You're a genius, you need someone to notice.

click to use this yourself
Ok, here's the thing. I believe sometime, possibly in my lifetime, one of two things will happen.

  • 1- Dirty nukes will take down grids all over the planet and internet will super fail and all the fun will be over.
  • 2- World Order will seize control of the internet and synchronize all of us and all the fun will be over.

And that is why none of this bothers me. Whether I shut all my stuff down myself or someone rips it out of my hands and mangles it up, y'all have heard me say first I'm not too stressed about it since I was the one nuking my own stuff in the first place. So you guys in other countries making fake mes on facebook in Brazil or hijacking my youtube vids in Germany and China or hitting me daily with app smash links and page openers- I don't care.

But the real question is do I appreciate it? Yes, I appreciate being alerted third party that my name is being used to hijack an American site, thanx. Yes, I appreciate the fun little jaunt off into space I took checking it out because my day wasn't exactly bubbly and I was needing distraction, thanx. Yes, I appreciate being able to use this as content now because, honestly, I'm hitting a burnout wall and have been awfully cranky lately, and this kinda cracks me up, so I'm sharing, thanx.

But I'm mostly wondering if this was a homework assignment and I was chosen because you get real feedback or something, go tell your teacher to give you an A, and tell Putin thumbs up on the whole Trump and North Korea thing, I saw that coming months before it happened. Nice theatrics there.

The rest of you are stewing that I'm steering off into this instead of finishing that Mantrid post...

Burnout, guys. 7 weeks of Disney Jr in my house. I appreciate all the distraction I can get.

:edit: 5-25-17 And this is why I use a Torch browser. Excellent vid, sorry to see it taken away from the public.

rub some bacon on Doctor Strange

Written late yesterday afternoon. Skip if you hate anything stats.

I think my favorite thing about statcounter is that it'll totally believe everything about you is in another country, including your hardware and software equipment and hosting and user service, and then blandly point blank say incoming from this city and state in the U.S. that is completely unrelated to Mountain View Google, Facebook, or any other massive bot referral masking system, and then I know the user manually adjusted the IP to look out of country. If everything about the IP is too matchy, that's a mask. A normal person with the usual stuff can ping up to 5 IP locations hitting a page because everything your system uses from hard drive to wifi IDs with its own ping, and out of country using almost anything chrome or google and especially a translator pings through Mountain View, and then Facebook has a couple main locations that I know is FB routing the ping before I even see referral address. Anyway, I waited a few weeks to see if this would happen again, because one day they got a little Pinky happy and I didn't wanna scare them off, but I guess not.

So here's what happened. They thought they were masking, but their corporate network pinged and I was able to easily look up that corporate HQ street address and phone number in the heart of Orange County, so this whole "I'm from Canada" thing is stupid. Also, it kind of looks like they might have bids out to national defense gigs, among other things, so basically I think I'm looking at players covering a hacking organization with a security front.

By the way, a Brazil association also came up, other people discussing this in forums, so another clue for the ol' Pinky List. I can't help wondering if this is how and why all these account compromises you hear about with banks and host servers and stuff keep happening. It's like inside jobs from super spies setting up sabotage wait I mean corporate strategy services and bidding out jobs.

Or it could still be this pissy head cold and I'm reading way too much into a few little numbers. You know, because weird. That's all, it's just weird. But I srsly feel more comfortable about Pinky blog being linked through a few porn sites in several countries and Ukraine bots crawling my pages than I do about pretend I'm from Canada while I ping your blog over and over for no rhyme or reason thing. Actually, kinda miss those Ukraine bots. I wonder what happened. Maybe they got bored, or my site mapping got too overwhelming, bcuz over 700 posts now with a million links. Or maybe someone got caught... o_o awwww.

Today.

I've already got 36 points from LeGarrette Blount in Thursday's game, woot! Week 3 in #SnarkFF (Snarkalecs Fantasy Football) and I'm up against Mandie, who has a fun fashion blog at pinkhairfloosie.com that I enjoy checking out. Click her pic to see lots more.

The swan thing at the top clicks to the facebook convo, also made an earlier tweet. Still not sure why that called to me, unless it's a retro design triggering a childhood memory of somewhere I've been.

So, MacGyver last night. I wanna say it was awesome, but I was still able to tweet through it, so it's on awesome-reserve. I'm more on edge with South Park's new drama this fall as Skank Hunt's 'reign of terror goes global'. Honestly, I had missed seeing this last ep when I wrote my troll post, had no idea how perfectly timed that was. If I had seen it before I wrote that, I'd have used South Park memes instead of those other ones. Love me some Dr. Ken. I think that entire cast is fantastic. We actually dropped a scifi show for Dr. Ken, so that's saying something. Superstore is our other laugh candy. Dina is my spirit animal, very well played by the stunning Lauren Ash. I may hafta keep track of her for some memes in my future. The real star with us this week is the new Lethal Weapon series. Not very many drama movie series get me hooked, but I'm a hardcore everything Lethal Weapon fan, and I thought they did an outstanding job casting and filming and getting that story rolling again.

No idea how I'm going to keep up with all the TV coming up. There's too much. I'm sure we'll be running behind a lot of it like last year.

Twitter is my Jag, lol.

I think we might have the weekend off, and now @bonenado's got this head cold from hell and sounds terrible, poor man. He poured maximum strength mucinex into his coffee IV, and you've gotta know he's not a meds man AT ALL. If he's taking something? ~*~it's bad~*~

In case you're not aware of this yet, very cool.

I so cannot wait for this movie. I'll probably have to wait forever for it to be released to Dish and DVD. There's a martial arts in film review directly after the trailer. I studied Jackie Chan's Drunken Master frame by frame and behind the scenes diaries, just brilliant.

That's right, I have absolutely no agenda today. I'm blabbing on about not a whole lot. I need to peel off here and go cook some bacon. This is for @bonenado's head cold.

df :edit: ignore that, it's not code for anyone, just a place holder after a bunch of html that I forgot to wipe.

Brazil

@bonenado's fortune cookie from his Chinese take out tonight said he'd live a long and wealthy life. I told him long and wealthy could mean paralyzed and lawsuit from some kind of accident, and maybe he'd be stuck in misery for many years, helpless to spend his wealth except on doctors and medical treatments. If I were a genie in a lamp, I'd probably be like that, kinda mean and sarcastic, but in a twisted good way. I'd make sure the granted wishes entailed making amends for all the mean things people do, especially if they kick animals and make little kids cry. If I were one of the many gods floating around in the ancient days, I'd have wanted to be the God of Irony. The peasants would be terrified of everything they did coming back to bite, like a sick perverted kind of karma.

I run into that question every little bit- If you had three wishes that were granted, what would you wish for? Everything I can think of could misfire, no matter what it is, despite however good and unselfish it might be. Ultimately, though, I think my first wish would be that I could eat Taco Bell without having an allergic reaction to anything. Of all the food I really miss eating out, Taco Bell springs to mind the most often.

A follower I don't know anything about and have never spoken to before gave me a heads up about a facebook scam going on in, guess where, Brazil, haha. Normally I ignore fake accounts because most of them turn out to be web crawler sites that multiply by people claiming their accounts, kind of like getting caught in a whirlpool of bot activity for no other reason than that's just how they multiply. This one, however, was malicious, and I've reported it. It auto-rips FB without my permission and won't allow me to cancel it (that goes to the FB report page that trying to cancel triggered), so there you go. Brazil. And all the other related posts on Pinky blog.

Anyway, the top gray area translates to "Only registered people can have access to Pinky's profile. Join the more than 2 million readers who share their passion for books in Skoob." Skoob, you bad monkey. Actually, I don't know that Skoob is actually responsible, maybe they've been breached themselves. The original Skoob.com is in London, and the scam skoob puts .br after the com, which is Brazil. Google translate says the language is Portuguese.

Because I'm actually associated with a real author in Brazil, thanks to Lexx, it looks like I actually support his book when you click in the right place, but I'm pretty sure that's part of the inbuilt bot thing since we're already friends on social media and I support him anyway. His first book is in English now, so if you'd like to check it out on amazon, click this- Intergalactic

That's it for tonight. Scott wants to watch something else on TV, so see ya.

#Shezzaday

Watching Ben fans at stage doors on twitter is like flashbacks of Colin fans. I like seeing all the different fans. Years ago before twitter I watched Johnny Depp fans on myspace and forums. Fans are my favorite.

They make neat stuff. Click this to see the whole book.

Bunny will be here around 6. I'm trying to engage my brain. It's being really stubborn this morning.

The best of fandom.

And more.

Ok, coffee percolating up to my brain now. I normally avoid stuff that drags me down, but this is so true. Except I'm the train.

Why does no one make a happy coffee song for fandoms? All you sad little people out there, I need...

Oh, no! Brazil!!! lol

I subscribed. This just made my whole day. I grew up in a Spanish area. I know, that's funny, isn't it, I grew up in the United States hearing Plautdietsch in my family and hearing Spanish and Navajo at school. Then I move to the heartland and now I know families that speak Hindi and Thai.

Ok, I'm dying. I think I'm nearly ready for Bunny. The game is on.

photo 5laugh.gif Seriously, #Shezzaday. And no one has grabbed that hasthtag yet. What's wrong with you people???

I know ash! (and killing spydars)

Yesterday's views were so busy that I freaked out and thought Oh, no! Brazil found Pinky blog! but it's not lit up on the map and doesn't show up in the country list, so whew!

Untangling the whole actual Google analytics vs Google webmaster tools thing is a real treat. So far nothing I have as solidly confirmed property in analytics has been touched, so I assumed it was the webmaster tools that was the problemo. Brazil has been pinging once or twice a day on Pinky's Sox since the big July 24th spike, but that page isn't even in webmaster tools so now I have to dig some more (my G+/blogger associations are so java tangled now I can barely understand what they think they're doing). I'm going to leave it alone there and see how high that number pumps up, but I think I stopped Brazil on the dotcom because I haven't seen it show back up. Can't help wondering if too many fingers in the stat cookie jar is the problem there since that page is what verfies pinterest so I can see analytics there, too, plus GWT and WordPress colliding keeps sending me notes about markup items that don't mean anything. Hold your horses, guys, it's just a few links and graphics viewers can click out on, good grief, it's not like everything in there has to be meta adjusted. I'd rather get a heads up from a stat tool about unwanted parasite acquisitions, amIright?

I miss the old days.

What's even more fun is that I personally don't have working java on my laptop, so I can't see what the problems are they're pointing to. Do I care? Not really. Drinking my java.

While I was at it, I put Pinky Press Review into analytics for kicks. That whole experiment is just funny to me.

Looks like the roof made it through several hours of torrential downpour yesterday without leaking, at least so far as we can tell, yay! I need to FOCUS and GET TO WORK! >=l Kinda starting off slow today. I have a pattern, don't I? Thursdays seem to be my noticing I'm starting to get scattered days.

Me and Brazil irl. (Ha, get this song outa your head...) Pinky Robot vs crawler bot.

Tryin' to smash me a spydar.
(Language caution if you're at work.)

The Pinklist, and more fun with GWT hijacking

You know how you see something that doesn't make sense and just kind of sit there staring.

Click & lyao
I'm having one of those moments. I'm at a complete loss.

I might be paying attention to the wrong blog. My obsession with novelty footwear and who's wearing it evidently outclasses everything else I've ever done, at least on July 24th, 2015. See, this is why world domination is behind schedule, now I'm totally regretting not posting these sox over on that blog.

Oh, here we go, it's Brazil. (If you're just joining in, that links a trail back to the original The Pink List post.) This is from the last 30 days.

Brazil doesn't show up once on Pinky blog here, yay!

This is a real page.
Do my Brazil heavy website stats indicate something nefarious?
"Someone could be accidentally using your Google Analytics code." Yeah, that's kind of what I was already figuring out the other day. Seems like a stretch to assume 'accidentally' bombing so many people, though. Who'll bet me that's not a hacker group trying to break into Google? (If it is an accident, Pinky's Sox is the best rickroll page ever, right? I discovered after I made it that it's a porn typo that makes a really great pun.) (I'm still so innocent it's frightening.)

The Blacklist Season 3: Liz is on the Run, Will Red Keep Her Safe? We'll See

Wow, I can't believe someone actually smashed Reddington and Sherlock. I'm in heaven.

the quantum wilds of blogger chaos and random archive matrices, or, Going Old School

And I say old school because the science was born before most of you were. Bored today? Think you're a super nerd? Catch up. You'll understand why this stuff mesmerizes me when I get a super cool scifi book done.

So TeenyBot#56 is my emergency nerd name.

I mentioned the Brazil thing yesterday. This is the Brazil thing. It started just before last Christmas. It clicks to spy stuff if you're having a slow day and needing something to do.

Ran into my Oak Island obsession going back through posts (anyone else crushing on Rick Lagina?) and the only word on season three is that it's in filming.

Still running into stuff. This relates to the other day. I share these things to protect you guys. The only reason I have friends nowadays is because I don't freely mock you all.

Gregory called and left sweet messages every single day for about 2 1/2 months and suddenly the loan was sold off to another company, and our affair is over, just like that. My new lover doesn't leave messages. Me and collection agents irl.

While I'm bouncing around the archives, consider this a disclaimer. "My blog is my blog is my blog. I can say anything I want on my blog. If someone doesn't like it they can stop reading my blog." I really blew some steam that day. There's no steam today, just a 'what took you so long' in my stats this week.

The Pink List

Guess this is the closest I'm going to get this morning to pink coffee.

I'd like to thank the person/bot in Brazil that pumped up my dotcom traffic count last Friday. I hadn't checked that blog in ages till yesterday, no idea why this happened.

It feels kinda Black List-y, only instead of Berlin it's Brazil.

So here's the thing. I'm running a little behind on my Santa chores because I haven't had a car this month.

Actually, that's been Scott's car since 2009, was mine for years before that. He's driving the CRV now because the thermostat is out in the pickup, very sucky driving with no heat, can't defrost, etc. We've been way too busy to solve this problem (hopefully this weekend), plus who wants to pay a year of property tax on another vehicle that's only a couple of weeks in the family, right?

So I'm getting the house ready for a big pajama party on Christmas Eve, plus the week of Christmas will be a busy burrito week so the daycare lady can enjoy Christmas, too. Got all kinds of deep cleaning and freshening up going on, moving stuffs around so presents can magically appear without us tripping over them, fine tuning my lists for the days I'll finally get back into town. The more I can get done this week, the easier it'll be later. I'm actually very surprised and pleased I still have so much brain access this time of year. I'm usually in core shutdown by now, just a numb robot going through motions. Guess my brain chemicals must finally be resetting back to a healthier cocktail in there.

In the meantime I'm counting down the mailing days till Christmas. It'll be here in TWO WEEKS, guys. Click this for more info.

We also had a box arrive Fed-Ex yesterday from a mail order company that was so shredded I thought the worst, thank goodness everything inside was well protected and survived. I've been told when I ship through UPS that packages need 2 inches of cushioning on all sides and must be able to withstand bumping around 40 MPH automatic conveyors. Click for more info.

Another click if you've got questions.

And if you're still not sure you're doing it right, UPS will pack your box for you for an additional fee.

Now comes my favorite part. I've been obsessed with the shipment of goods and services around the world since the fourth grade (#aspienado), I love watching videos like these. I like to think about my own packages being part of the crazy jumble, wondering if my box coincidentally bumps a box from someone I know, traveling across the planet to people I love, like magic. If I'd had the proper guidance back in the day, I think I'd have been very happy going into shipping logistics.

UPSFedEx, and USPS have their own youtube channels if you want to see more. I've gotta tear my eyes away and get busy!
