I find myself measuring time nowadays by 'since my mom died' and 'before Bunny was born', like how long I've had a t-shirt. I do this automatically without even thinking, like I don't put on my clothes without literally thinking first how long I've had it in relation to how long it's been since my mom died or Bunny was born. There is a 4 year gap in between those two events, during most of which I was dark and inaccessible to nearly everyone online. Today (1-1-18) is the first day I've consciously thought about that, which is interesting because I've apparently been doing it for several years. It's probably time to let go of a few really old t-shirts.

Seriously? For the love of God or whatever weird omnipotence your hearts follow, will you guys stop arriving to Pinky blog through searches for "Rick Lagina death"? It's a bit disturbing at 5 a.m. before I've had my coffee. 😟😲😬😥☕ Btw, if you need to catch up or know more, put "Curse of Oak Island season 5" in your search bar, and if you insert IMDb into that search query, you get a bunch of update news articles, too. See what you made me do? I'm looking all this stuff up before 5:30 a.m. to see what I missed. Oh, and apparently he's still alive.

Between the bitter cold (currently 3 degrees Fahrenheit at my house) and 2 space heaters adding to central heat, we've been flying through 3+  gallons of water a day steaming gently on a back burner keeping the air moist enough to breathe. I'd have more exact measurements if @bonenado would stop adding bits here and there without telling me, but after last night I can conclusively say pretty much at least a gallon around every 5 hours as long as we keep the pot from drying up and never turn the burner off. It's a 7-quart cast iron dutch oven that has seen better days, so since I'm retiring it anyway, it's my winter steamer. I've got my eye on this one next time a sale comes up.

In case you're going back to work today and need some legitimate distraction. This is from a package of valentines back in 2007.

I jaunted off into weirdness yesterday during a much needed braincation and wound up in a whole pile of celebrity death/clone stuff, which was a blast. I mean, Orlando Bloom, right? It's like the Paul McCartney conspiracy all over again. And I wound up sifting through one fan obsession after another, like all our pop stars are regularly cloned for back ups and whatevs. Honestly, if they ever made Benedict clones and auctioned them off, I seriously doubt very many people would protest. Pretty sure he alone could be the pivot launch into a precedent for everyone owning their fave celebrity clone to keep around the house.

And if you're really bored and hating work right now, here you go. Call it research, it's all good.


Now apply that to entertainment. People paying real money to embrace the weird, being brain trained into experience addiction. If part of the protocol is to be transparent, what better way to get everyone to accept it?

And in case that just made you grumpier, quickly divert. Try to enjoy being back at work. Just shut your mind off and coast on the blue pill. You're welcome.

First of all, the in-blog Rick Lagina searches across several states from that last post was like watching lurkers come out of the woodwork. Some of you were already IN Pinky blog and just came alive like I announced I'd hidden Easter eggs. I was honestly not even expecting that. I cannot say clearly enough- "Rick, GET A BLOG. And I'm not your secretary."

Second of all, you hafta admit he's hawter than Benedict Cumberbatch playing Doctor Strange, and I'm the only person in internet history that has combined these two gentleman into one search history, so no wonder y'all hang around here waiting for moar. If I were more considerate I'd do this more often, but I'd rather be playing on Mo Creatures, so... Sorrynotsorry.

See, I totes get that this is important. I know you guys all over the world are suffering and working really hard to find any new info you can about this awesome guy doing really cool stuff that no one's ever done before in our entire world history, right? But you know what? I actually have a friend in Michigan and other friends around Nova Scotia who've never even brought the guy up, so it's not like I have a standby fan crew ready to go out on fact finding missions like the Cumber Collective has. I'm afraid this is the closest you're going to get to seeing Rick Lagina naked.

I normally don't spotlight hecklers or coat-tailers and generally dump and delete spammers, but once in awhile I get comments that find ways around my filters and I can't decide whether to laugh or facepalm.

When I first blogged about Rick Lagina and The Curse of Oak Island, there wasn't anything else out there but a few interviews. As the show renewed, they got Facebook pages and more interviews, but I asked why they didn't blog, because I was getting hit so frequently in search engines just from mentioning the guy that I was starting to feel like Rick's secretary. Well, now when you plug Rick Lagina into Google search, third result down is Rick Lagina Wiki, Bio, Age, Wife and Net Worth - WikiPicky written last year and apparently people have been finding it enough now to rank it up in the search field. Three years from original air date went by before that was even written. We could've had Rick Lagina Funkos by now, but noooo.

I first blogged about The Curse of Oak Island on Jan. 8, 2015. I blog about a variety of TV shows I watch, but no other has ever brought me as much direct hit search engine traffic as this one. I'd like to personally thank Rick Lagina for my blog traffic. 💕Thank you. If some of you need more, I can offer a few more posts in this Rick Lagina tag list. This makes the seventh post now, and I'm still the only person in the entire world who has ever memed the guy. Look through Google yourself.

Anyway, someone found a rock and took a picture of it and apparently made a G+ page just to be able to comment on my G+ page and ask Rick Lagina what he thinks about it. Always here for you, Rick. I've come to embrace that on Pinky blog. If a fan had put together some kind of youtube parody or bad lip reading or some kind of music fanvid, this is where I'd be putting it now, but I'm not finding anything, so it's back to Doctor Strange.

Search phrase- "why rick lagina doesnt want to get married" Seriously, I'd quadruple my traffic overnight if I'd just write a few sentences about Rick Lagina once or twice a month. All it took was two posts mentioning him a year ago and he's still my top search referral.

29% of all my keyword traffic comes from people running into those posts during searches. These searches are worldwide, many of them rabid to know more about Rick Lagina's sex life. Highest impressions (vs click-throughs) on GWT analysis are from "Rick Lagina death" or "Rick Lagina dies".

Guys, Rick Lagina totally beats out "dr evil leo" (srsly, next top impression), Khanlock, Megavolt, and "Benedict Cumberstitch". And then we see "Rick Lagina bio" ranking ABOVE Benedict Cumberbatch in searches where Pinky blog comes up, and you know how much Benny C I've got in here.

I'd obviously be a fool to never mention his name again. Mildly facepalming over whether catching up on the last season in a post full of screen shots would be worth a little extra time this month. I've actually been wanting to make more memes. It still looks like I'm the only person in the world who's ever memed the guy.

I'm going for broke. If I can pull in traffic for If Rick Lagina dies WE RIOT from a Swedish porn search (I'm seriously not kidding), I may as well just give it up and use my name for what it's best at. Ok, I'm kidding, but not about the Swedish porn search referral. That's real.

YES, working on the Mantrid post. It's going to be looooong. Like a postipede. Get it? Postipede. Because Dieter's also in Human Centipede. Nevermind. No, I've never seen that movie. You wouldn't believe how many people have privately asked me if I have.

More dreams about awesome internet stuffs in between waking up a lot with a really bad sore throat. This is my third day hurting to swallow, and it's not because I did anything porny, but let's see if that'll pull in search traffic, lol. @bonenado's throat hurts real bad, too, so it's gotta be a virus. My ears exploded somewhere in the night. Pretty sure it's the Bunny SARS. I think PinkyBob happened during a feverish haze.

I haven't mentioned much about @bonenado falling out of that tree over the weekend.

He was at least 12 feet up working on a deer stand when a board winched free and he turned into a pinball bouncing down 3 different tree boles and a steel stick ladder. Hit his head twice, scraped a shin off (still not sure if he cracked that leg, he's too stubborn to go get an x-ray), interesting details all over his legs from the steel bars he kept hitting, seems to have landed sorta almost upside down and yanked the crap outa his back and neck. We know people who didn't get up from falls like that, one guy broke his pelvis, another needed pins, actually kinda common around here to know people who've fallen out of trees because so much forest around us. So he's got all this super double whammy, the Bunny SARS plus the #treefail (likely a concussion), and dragging to work.

Got a call yesterday that new lappy is set up but the Kaspersky keycode I drove all the way back home for last week was no good for Windows 10. May hafta facepalm my way through an upgrade and then run a new keycode back in tomorrow. I can't wait for world sync, this whole jumping through extra hoops for product details is so old. There's gotta be a better way to waste a half tank of gas. I'd love to plan this out for early keycode drop off, run errands for a bit, come back and pick up and all done, easy peasy, but we saw what happened last week.

Have way more stuff on my mind, but hashing it all out here right now would consume half my day. It's kind of like #allthefeels suddenly crowding in, and I suspect it has more to do with Bunny SARS knocking brain chemicals around than actual feels, so maybe the best thing I can do is find a way outa this one, get a workout going, and then come back to GET TO WORK! FOCUS!!!

We're still catching up on The Expanse, which took awhile for me to really get into, but by ep 5, yeah, this is a pretty excellent show, worth a little time, go check it out. This is the kind of show the way they used to make them, like actually reading a novel without the driving fear that the whole story has to be told NOW in case of cancellation. It's delightfully 'unfolding' in the best way. Thomas Jane, in particular, is doing a fabulous role play on Joe Miller. I was going to go grab a single pic, but dang if #bencongruity didn't pop up, so here you go, clicks out to more pix.

One of my way too busy weeks, but it's all good. I'll have @bonenado on hand all day because they caught up on orders (really rare), and I think he's planning on the kind of mysterious man stuff that involves outside and tools and probably scary situations I don't want to witness his bloody demise around, so my plan is to construct awesome cheesy enchilada soup out of the homemade chicken stock I made yesterday with a chicken in my big pot. Pretty caught up with chores and bills and stuff, so I'm going to see if lappy will handle a Lexx disc for a little while to get some more pix for the Mantrid post. It's anyone's guess at this point. The tech nerds at the computer store couldn't believe I was still doing so much work on this old fossil, but hey, I believe we're all important and useful no matter how old we get, and we all know lappy knows my threats to smash it against a wall or throw it out a window are just my way of patting it on the back saying "nice work, pal".

This problem goes way back.

We all know how attached I am to my lappy.

So you can imagine how I'm feeling about semi-retiring it. This next clicks out to convo in case I ever need to come back here and mourn.

I can't believe all my best keyword traffic is Rick Lagina

Worked like a bat outa hell all morning, then about one o'clock remembered this thing called 'lunch'. After that I was like a spoon in really cold sorghum, it'll stand up straight like it's stuck and take forever to fall to the side. What's dumb is how sunny and warm it is outside and how chilly I still feel inside my house. I feel like I need an electric robe. I'm fully dressed, but I'd take a fleece robe with batteries right now. My sweater's just not cutting it.

I think part of it is that I use my hands and arms so hard for hours, then when I quit they're jetlagged and get really cold. I feel like I need to be wearing mittens. Once my hands warm up, like they are now on the keyboard, the rest of me doesn't feel so cold.

So while my brain turned into cold sorghum with a spoon in it, a really slow thought crept in- What kind of new year resolutions should I make? I checked last year's, and apparently failed all of them, even though there were only three.

Let's see, I've put two pounds on since then, own more sox than ever, and there's no way I'll get my paperwork properly processed aside from keeping piles segregated with Walmart sacks because we're so constantly grabbing and moving things around. You know, Bunny and the mobile office thing.

My fave keyword searches clicking into Pinky blog over the last week are 'Rick Lagina dies' and 'Rick Lagina porn'. 0_o Wow, guys. Just for that, I'll put 'Rick Lagina' in the tags in case anyone else finds this and wants to read what I've actually got on him, which isn't much. Yes, I think he's hawt, too. That's about it. I mentioned the Brazil thing yesterday. This is the Brazil thing. It started just before last Christmas. It clicks to spy stuff if you're having a slow day and needing something to do.

Ran into my Oak Island obsession going back through posts (anyone else crushing on Rick Lagina?) and the only word on season three is that it's in filming.

Still running into stuff. This relates to the other day. I share these things to protect you guys. The only reason I have friends nowadays is because I don't freely mock you all.

Gregory called and left sweet messages every single day for about 2 1/2 months and suddenly the loan was sold off to another company, and our affair is over, just like that. My new lover doesn't leave messages. Me and collection agents irl.

I really blew some steam that day. There's no steam today, just a 'what took you so long' in my stats this week.

Pinky Knight and the Dish Templar Disaster

So you're muddling your way maddeningly through a massive DVR timer scheduling shift to make room for football all weekend, and along the way you notice that the episode numbering for The Curse of Oak Island in the Dish guide doesn't follow the same logical viewing path as the original air dates at all. #facepalm Again?

Pinky is a Dishpert. I've been fixing my viewing schedules for years. Pinky realizes that the wide and varied viewing audience out there doesn't always have the time to figure these things out, what with kids around, chronic illness brain fog, winter storm Klingon knocking power out for a week, etc. So Pinky pulled up History's website episode list and made copious notes. The lower half of the page here shows the correct viewing order, with a comparison of episode numbering between Dish and History. If I were managing data entry for them, I'd be all aspienado on their butts for viewers who can't stop and spend 20 minutes figuring this out, especially with kids around, or chronics experiencing brain fog, or even just frustrated fellow scientists who feel like they're dealing with freshman level data entry for masters level programming.

If the Knights Templar had been this sloppy hiding their treasures, we'd have found them by now. Just saying.
